The difference in speed would be comical.
Tyson stopped Savarese, he would do the same to Valuev. It would happen in the late rounds, but I'm pretty sure Tyson would nail him to the neck or jaw hard enough to put him down.
Valuev beat Holyfield, and Holyfield beat Tyson. The triangle theory for you, huh? Plus, another thing is that Holyfield and Chagaev can win fights going in/out, boxing....Tyson's never done that in his career and when he tried to he got stopped. Shamefully though, Tyson would be DEADLY if he knew how to do that.
There is no way Tyson can even reach Valuev with an uppercut.
I think we're pretty much done here. Valuev beat Holyfield... GTFOH. This is the problem with boxrec, you clowns only look at the end result without knowing wtf you're talking about. And there's a 10+ year difference between the versions Tyson and Valuev faced.
Tyson doesn't have to go in and out to smash Valuev, Nickolai doesn't have devastating punching power. The fight ends with Valuev getting his ass beat, whether he stays on his feet or not.
He may not be able to generate the necessary force with this punch having tpo travel so far above him own head.
So I am going to say no, he most likely would not.
He wouldn't have to punch up if he didn't want to. Did you never see Tyson slay other fighters taller than him in his prime? He would bang that body until it caved in or until they bent down a bit to protect the body then he'd hit the head. But he didn't have to hit you in the head to get a KO. He only became a head hunter once he got older after his prison stint... After that he wasn't an effective body puncher (and had lost other fundamentals) like he'd been in the past.
Tyson would smash Valuev.
45 year old Holyfield and the fat (only) version of Chagaev were too fast for Valuev. Imagine Tyson closing in low and landing repeated leaping left hooks and overhand rights (the type he knocked out Holmes with).
I have trouble seeing Valuev being able to take those repeatedly. He wouldn't even be seeing them coming. The ones that hurt the most...

He would ko him with uppercuts.

SO do you think he would still beat Valuev though? I don't think he's ever fought a fight like that, backing up and still winning.
