I just watched a video of the last round of Cotto vs Marg in the thread UKboxingfanatic made about cotto being some cyborg and I was thinking about what the commentators were saying in regards to Cottos face and how he looked like the loser in the bout even though he was clearly the one landing more crisper and accurate shots. Look at the compubox stats for Marg in both fights and see for yourself. It's like a before and after plaster comparison. Why wasnt he as eager to throw punches at Mosley? Cotto hit Marg with every shot he had and marg wasnt even close to being as swollen or cut as cotto was. It's really sad to think that he was being hit with plaster the whole time. I don't care what anyone says, Cotto was way more of a threat than Mosley was to Marg and you mean to tell me he only "tried" to use them once.. for Mosley? :****you: Theres enough proof to safely say he was loaded during the Cotto fight. A great fighter's life and record changed due to a fraud... And of course I am aware that this has been addressed before but I couldnt help but express my thoughts on the matter....
Epic match it was. And im sure we'll find out one day... As far as letting it go is concerned, I think what gets to me is the fact that if Cotto would've won he would've gone on to fight the best... Possibly Mayweather? And probably lost but at least it would've been something exciting to look forward to... Life goes on.
I think the outcome would have been completely different if that shots that he was taking werent as solid.. You know? I totally agree with the styles and what not but the damage caused by plaster is the variable.
Margarito is a piece of sh*t who doesn't deserve to be allowed into boxing in the U.S ever again. He should stay fighting in Mexico for 100 pesos a fight f*ck him. On another note, He CLEARLY beat cottos ass because of his STYLE. Remember kids, Styles make fights. Margaritos style was perfect against cotto. Plaster or not, His style of making cotto back away the entire fight,Absorb all his blows, tire him out and punch him on the ropes was perfect.
