"Winner Takes all"

indeed it is highly unlikely for something like that to happen especially on a mega-fight scale. though, again, it would be epic to have at least once in our lifetime. :love: Ideally I'd like most fights to have a certain monetary bonus for the winner. i am also in favor with this just to add some spice to the bout. i recall though that clottey got some kind of bonus from jones even though he lost to pac, just the opposite:crazy:

Both fighters are doing exactly the same job and should get paid the same. There are two jobs in boxing: 1. Being a good fighter. 2. Being popular enough for people to pay money to see you fight. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has learned this, and has made himself quite a fanbase. He has done very well to be so popular too, especially since he doesn't fight like James Kirkland, which is what the common fan likes.

All fights should be 50-50. ... No. Could you imagine ODLH splitting 50/50 with Felix Sturm or something like that? Or how about Javier Castillejo? Hell no all fights should not be 50/50. If you think a lot of good fights aren't made now because of money issues, that would be multipled by 1000. At least if someone is fighting someone who can't draw a crowd, they just get the bulk of the purse instead of fighting somebody worse for the same amount of money.

Wouldn't mind seeing such a fight on a big scale. Not gonna happen though.

In the end, the only thing people really need to hear from camp Pac is if he'll accept the OST demands. If he doesn't, then anything else Roach says is just a useless quote.

Just a ploy thrown out there by Roach the Issue is not Money its testing. Unless Mayweather vs Mosley does some crazy number like 2 Mil, again the issue will be Testing not money.

It's something you might see in a Hollywood script, but it would never, ever really happen. Both guys will make at least 30 million. People were discussing this over at ESB and some people were saying "why wouldn't it happen?" and "I think it could actually happen". :rofl: What world do some people live in?

Winner take all is unrealistic and would never be agreed to in all seriousness. No one would want to invest that much time and effort and possibly get nothing out of it. Although the purse will in all probability be set in negotiations, having the winner get the lion’s share of the purse, say 55% for decision, 60% for K.O. would be interesting. Also if both sides think they deserve the lions share and both sides actually feel confident, maybe it would be the easiest route, though it probably won't happen like that.

It's never serious, and it would be retarded for any fighter to ever take this deal from a business standpoint. And a fight on this level, where there really isn't a clear favorite is too risky for either one to go for winner take all.
