Serious question here, if Abraham were to slip like that and Dirrell threw a punch, would Dirrell have been Dq'd like Abraham was?
I want to know what you guys think...
Not saying AA should be taken out of the super six or something that drastic, but he did deserve to be DQ from the fight. Hopefully he will never do something like that again, and it will just be a temporary mistake, as everyone has made. Had Dirrell done it he probably would of been DQ'd and called a "Thug", and if he wasn't DQ'd after throwing a punch like that, people would be screaming their heads off.
no because Abe would get up and not be a bitch about it.
Ref... REF! The other guy keeps hitting me in the body. Can you call them low blows so it stops?
Yeah, I'm sure he would have been all man about it.
Why would that matter? An illegal punch should be handled the same regardless of the result of it.
Well the standard procedure is to take a point away. But... if one fighter is knocked out, he obviously can't keep fighting, so only a DQ can be applied.
Should, I agree. But would have he been Dq'd?
I hate to say it but I doubt he would have been Dq'd. Point deduction yes but not a DQ since I doubt Abraham would cry.
LOL, thats funny.

No it shouldnt it should depend on the amount of damage done. If the fighters can go on let them fight, if you happen to have Incredible Hulk like punches then it makes it difficult for the other fighter to continue and the only option left is DQ.
I didn't mean "Cry", I meant to say, I doubt he would have had the same reaction as Dirrell.
He probably would have bitched and moaned his way out of the fight though.

Lol, wut?
You doubt the guy who leaks tears every single time a body shot lands would cry about it?

So much for being serious
Yeah I'm sure you've seen this by now. Lennox hit this guy Acey way worse than Abraham hit Dirrell, and he wasn't even deducted a point.

Wow... never seen that video before. Now that's a clear DQ + suspension..

Ouch.
Watch your back Dorian.
My spider sense tells me the wolves are on their way.

He was disqualified before Dirrell even woke up, so crying had nothing to do with it, but nice try.
What in the utter ****... Why was Lewis not DQ'd? That was absurd.
The answer to that question is that Lewis was highly rated, and Acey was not. It also probably played into the minds of the corrupt dicks who screwed Acey out of a win that Lewis was the better fighter, and had control of the fight.
any fighter should be disqualified for it

Never seen that in my life. I'll give it a watch.
If that's the case, the ref in the Lewis fight really dropped the ball.
