i wasnt surprised with the word fight because i expected a dominant performance from his against kessler. With dirrell, i hoped he'd win, but i didnt think it was certain... he surprised me in the way he was able to control and basically dominate AA. What do you all think?
Dirrell surprised me more because i wasnt sure he would learn the lessons necessary from that controversial loss to Froch
he learned all he needed from that fight, and put on a great performance against a dangerous puncher.
even when Abraham hit him early in the fight, Dirrell came back with punches instead of running
I just rewatched the fight today. Kessler was awful and so predictable.
yeah very true.
he couldn't seem to get his punches off and when he did they were wild and ineffective.
Hopefully Kessler comes back against Froch though. :boxing:
Froch did. After all the hype Dirrell had gotten by the fat yanks I was thiking we might be looking at the next Ray Leonard.
And then the crude, primitive Froch exposed him as a raging homo. That was a surprise.
I thought Dirrell, outboxed, outpunched, outlanded, and beat Froch. There's no way Froch beats Dirrell in a neutral place. No way in hell.
Ward by far.
I knew Dirrell had the speed, footwork, etc to totally outbox Abraham.
What Ward did to Kessler was totally unexpected, he dominated him easily through 11 rounds, Kessler looked lost in there.

I knew Ward was going to beat Kessler, I wouldn't have betted all my points on it atm that was 800k. Dirrell impressed me a lot more because he outboxed a dangerous, powerful, undefeated prime Arthur Abraham, with only having 19 pro fights. Kessler was not past prime, or shot, I knew from the start that Ward was too good for him. I thought Abraham was going to stop Dirrell.

Dirrell had the style and skills to easily foresee the kind of performance he put on against Abraham, even if you didn't think it would be that one sided. Ward was more surprising, I didn't think Kessler would get dominated.
Ward. I thought the Kessler fight was 50/50.
I've always felt Abraham was overrated and would look bad against the right opponent so last night was no shock. In fact I think Ward will beat him even worse.
