i think he could have if he wanted to, but he'd be very weak and unshaky legs due to the migraine he was probabley suffering
so do you think he should've gotten up from that foul and made the foul in arthurs favour?
He did the smart thing by staying down and not trying to take a dangerous and notorious late finisher the distance. Could he have continued? I think so. He took harder shots than that on his feet, this punch was nothing.
he did'nt take those punches flush like that one, that one was right on the jaw while he was not expecting it

after getting ahold of the full fight, watching all the way through and bothering to sit through the interviews and whatnot, yea, dirrell was way out of it and not recovering from that, good call by the referee
To be fair though, it was probably the only good call by the referee all night. AD deserved the win though, he was clearly up before it happened, AA was putting on some nice pressure later on but should of kept his cool and maybe then he might have stopped him (I mean kept his cool and not punched him when he slipped), to be fair though I think Dirrell would have toughed it out to the bell and got the decision, AA warmed up and started pressuring him too late, what he was doing at the end was good... but he was doing it later than he should of.

No, I don't even think he could have... he was really hurt by the punch, you could tell cause afterwards when he was asked some questions it was like he didn't know what happened.
First of all I think your referee should've stepped in and called it a slip or a KD. You say AA went up to 2 seconds waiting before delivering that blow. No wonder he did that when the ref didn't stop it after 2seconds. That's the other side of the coin when dealing with a crooked ref I guess sometimes he'll let your get too much time before calling the shots, taking over and the results are obvious.
your being a bitter idiot, the ref as bad as he was that night had no way of stopping that, everytime a fighter slips a ref is'nt gonna be able to jump infront of him to protect him from getting fouled
He looked hurt and I wouldn't recommend it.. He would've won either way.. Of course, if he had kept playing with fire and not having his defense up.. Well he might have been caught legally by AA.. Just saying. Otherwise than that, no, better be safe than sorry.

if he did get up then we could have seen what hes really made off..
we saw that in how he fought for 11 rounds. he did get hurt by a legal punch in the mid rounds and played it cool, clinched til the round was over and came back to dominate the next one.
we know what dirrell is made of, unfortunately we also know abraham is a sore loser. i understand u can snap every once in a while but i was truly disgusted how he robbed dirrell of his well deserved moment to shine in front of his hometown fans.
abraham had his nights, he should be a man and accept this wasnt one of them. it was dirrells night, he worked hard and he earned it. he deserved better than to go out on his back, no matter what his record will say.
If Direll wouldnt have acting he could have stand up immediately, Arthur would get a point deduction and the fight goes on! But Direll used this chance to get out of this with 3 points instead of 2!! A clear bitch move!

**** that it was worse than what Jones was Dq'd for when he was undefeated and honestly AA isn't anywhere near what Roy was so he is def out the fight he was losing and being humiliated in the process he looked like a bum and i mean a bum a unskilled useless fighter that cannot possibly win the boxing match and is just there check BUM.
no, we would've seen him really ko'd and handed a loss all because of an illegal blow
IF dirrell wouldve gotten up and the ref wouldve let it continue, there would be multiple point deduction, likely 2, AND dirrell wouldve been given time to recover.
dirrell's problem at the time prior to the foul wasnt that he was hurt, he was gassed. he wouldve been given time to catch his wind to literally run to the finish.
if he did get up then we could have seen what hes really made off..

I'm glad he did it.
AA was totally confused and had to resort to cheating to accomplish anything, he's a disgrace to the sport, and completely deserved to get DQ.
He didnt have to get up. It was a DQ and rightfully so. He was hit while he was down so the DQ would have ended the fight anyways. He didnt need to put on the act though.
