have you ever boxed in your life? if your looking for optimum power where does your fist start off at? below your waist, if you actually boxed and was thought proper technique you would figure this out on your own
Yes I have boxed.
When you punch at waist level, it is an arm punch and it's very hard to get your body twsiting into it.
When you punch higher, you can use your whole body.
Go and watch some punches like that at WAIST level.
If you bend your body and punch low, but it is not at waist level, then ofcourse you can get power.
With a hook at waist level, no he can punch much harder from torso height or going up.

He hit a defenseless man square on the chin and didnt even phase him. Dirrell just pretended to be hurt to get a DQ win instead of a wide UD.
faked eh? i doubt he faking it..
you must not know anything about leverage...or gravity for that matter.
you can generate a ton of power punching down at a target.

Hitting someone that low doesn't generate power as in a head height position. Heck try pretend fighting a kid and hit him hard and see how difficult that is

I don't believe he faked it. He looked pretty out of it afterwards.
He just got ktfo badly.
He might have been slightly stunned but the rest is all an act. Plus, AA didn't even put all his weight in---if he did, Dirrell would be in a coma now.
