Direll got jabbed, somehow went down, and then Abe was in the process of throwing a punch before the ref even could say anything. It is not his job to check if Dirells glove touched the canvas, its the refs job to make sure he gives warning the second it happens, and not yell stop when you are in the process of throwing.
He was on his knees, he could've brought his hands up or wrapped AA up around the waist to buy some time.
With you ignorant remarks, it's obvious that you're just trying to get a rise out of someone. Because you and everyone else knows that was a coward move.
What part are you not understanding. How can dirrel could have protected himself if he was trying to use his hands to get some balance after slipping. If it wasnt for the support of his hands, he would have probably go all the way down to the canvas and hit his head. Just imagine him slipping and going down like a dumbass without using his hands to support him. What do you do when you fall, you dont use your hands?
No, he's obviously the one person in the world who doesn't try to catch himself when he falls.

Dirrell should have knocked his block off for complaining to the ref like a little bi$ch, he didn't like them body shots so he had to resort to illegal tactics. If the Miranda/Abraham I was in the states he would have lost as well
aa dropped him and the ref didnt call it so he said fuk it i gotta ko him to make sure thats what he did........where was the ref???????????
and dirrell could have said **** it when he knocked aa down the second time and the ref didn't call it,he could have just started swinging on aa when the doctors was checking aa cut shit would you blame dirrell if he did?
dont hit your opponent while down is a bigger rule, you just saw it.

I agree it's the refs job to get in between the fighters, but Dirrell had his hands and knees on the canvas, and there was atleast a second and a half where AA looked at him before he threw that punch. And as a fighter you're taught to keep fighting until the ref jumps in, but you;re not taught to hit your opponent while he is down. Roy Jones got DQ'd for it years ago, and the rule has not changed. NO FIGHTER CAN HIT THEIR OPPONENT WHILE THEY ARE ON THE GROUND. There is no justification for it.
You can't just fall down on your own and expect not to be hit.
The ref didn't rule him down and didn't say anything. AA did the right thing and finished him.
and thats why he got DO'd no brainer!!! He could of protested but he should no remorse for his actions he's lucky to have escapted with his life Detroit deserves some props for not acting thuggish and ruthless like that Piston/Pacers game
The rule is "protect yourself at all time".
Thats the rule. The ref didn't say "stop".

i have sparred a few times, once my friend lost his balance and slid on the second rope now had i just knocked his ass out then while he was trying to get up completely defenseless hell i too could say i didn't lose the match.

Stop defending this overrated coward. He thought about hitting for a second. He didn't have any regard for a defenseless man,
The man is a disgrace, couldn't handle the fact the King was dethroned and now is a princess
this dude is speaking some serious truth keep it up homie!!!

bull shit and you know it. Abraham has been around along time and knows when an opponent is down, he knew better but was pissed and didnt want to admit it. But that shit happens.
u ever been in a ring?????u see a head u hit it.where was the ref?

Protect yourself at all times, if you happen to fall down on the canvas and your opponent MMAs your ass, don't say we didn't warn you... Good logic, go on.

Dirrell was already down when Abe threw the punch. Dirrell was down to a slip. Abraham figured "I'm hurting him now, if he continues he's mine because the damage is done"
This is why the rules of boxing say he should be DQed. It wasn't a combo finishing, he landed on a downed opponent. The rules are clear. Even if Dirrell did act.
