What was up with the floor? he clearly got knocked down with a jab. it looked as if his foot slipped as well when he got hit.. what was going on there? we saw them slipping around a couple times before in the fight, the ring should have been taken care of.
and why was the ref so far away? this ref was horrible, and he missed two knock downs/ (the abraham one im positive was a KD, but the second dirrell one wasnt replayed in between rounds)
am I the only one who really thinks top refs should be reffing these fights. the fights should be in las vegas too... or at least neutral sites, why are they all in someones hometown..
and btw I don't think Dirrell was faking, I think that its ridiculous people would say that. This guy was screaming for air when he got up. I can't believe that his team was all in his face trying to yell that he won. They should be attending to him as if he got a KO. And Jim Gray shouldn't have been pressing for the interview immediately after. If I were in his corner I would be rushing to get him out of there immediately. I know a winner wants to be able to stand up and get his hand raised but if the dude needs to get taken off in a stretcher, so be it. Safety comes first.
That being said, I feel bad for Abraham. A class act, who wanted to be accepted in America. This will hurt him big time. While I do feel he deserves a DQ, I do understand that it is a fight and sometimes the line between when to throw a punch and pull it back is very thin. Thats why I always worry about Bernabe Concepcion's horrible habit of not pulling back those punches when the bell rings to end the round. (BC should have gotten DQd, but I dont think hes necessarily dirty. Same goes for Abraham.)
This happens enough in boxing/MMA fights that they need to stop putting that paint crap on the canvas. Fighters have complained about it in the past but Money dictates so they'll keep putting advertisements on the canvas and fighters will keep slipping.
Advertisements are fine, but they don't need to be slick iron on logos.
You could clearly see his back foot slip on the paint and that stuff is known to get slippery when wet. There was a jab that caused him to go back but the paint was what made is leg go out.

That was not an accidental punch. He stopped, saw Dirrell on the canvas then took a swing.
As to how he went down. It was obvious that Andre was trying to step into a jab of his own and his back foot came out from under him, (in abrahams corner no less)
Abrahams KD of Dirrell is debatable. It was equal parts trip and punch. Usually when fighters land on their butt and slide its from tripping.
The advertising marker in the corner was slippery. Dirrell went down on it earlier as well.
At the end, Abraham caught Dirrell with a jab and Dirrell's back leg slipped on the advert. He went down then Abraham clocked him.
