There was NO REASON to act. He was winning the fight comfortably. He was a out for a bit.
Goddamn...I come back and this site only gets worse by the days.
Abraham was landing bombs on Dirrell in the tenth round and Dirrell must have known in the back of his mind that any one shot can end the fight! Yes, he was winning on scorecards. But Dirrell still had to be cautious.
Well I knew it was going to happen weird things as soon as I was told that Cole was the ref.
He allowed Dirrell to hit low and didnt do a shit, didnt even issue a warning to Dirrell.
He ruled AA's perfect KD of Dirrell a slip in the 10th RD, a typical Cole thing.
On top of that , he didnt understand that Dirrell tried to escape from AA's punches by faking a slip 4-5 times, the last so called "slip" came just before the end of the fight, Dirrell should start a career as an actor in Hollywood.
Cole should never be allowed to be a ref in a title fight, he can be kept as a ref in small club 4 rd fights where he can ruin the career of prospects...

Abraham deserves to DQ, it was a late punch.
But the replay didn't show it was square on the chin. It was a grazing punch at best.
Dirrell is pissed the he played it up and won by DQ instead of finishing the fight and getting a real win. He was outboxing Abraham the entire fight. Perhaps he felt Abraham was hurting him a bit too much at the end? I don't know.
I feel somewhat bad for Abraham, the whole fight seem rigged against him. What do you expect when the commentators say its the 'All-American home town hero versus the visiting European Villain'.
He was obvious he was frustrated. The Ref was doing everything he could to keep Abraham from gaining any momentum.
The only thing I really dislike was when the promoter got in his ears and talked to him continiously, he must had said; "good act" as he was not showing any sign of been worry for his fighter. We will never know if he was exagerating, but I believe he was hurt and had a delayed reaction.
I was shocked and dismayed they were letting him walk around in that state. he was still disoriented and thought he lost even after they announced him as the winner.
It is a shame the fight ended like that as it was getting very interesting. The whole fight is spoiled now. Abraham was coming on strong but screwed up. Dirrell won but also lost in the grand scheme of things. That W and 2 points means nothing as a concussion like that can be career threatening.
He's ****ing acting, he's just trying to make it look more convincing.
So when he was going into convultions it was fake. You and anyone who says he is faking is a dumbass. The mans life was clearly on the line, and you bastards would say he's faking.
hope he's okay...
also i can't believe the arseholes saying he faked it. you just need to look at the damn punch, it was well late!
Cant blame them since they are self-proclaimed experts.
