Vazquez - Marquez I & II and Juan Manuel Marquez - Juan Diaz, those guys are almost the perfect balance of boxing and fighting.. boxer punchers.. Beristain has trained them well.
I never really liked mexican fighters because it's all forward eating punches, eat 1 to give 3. but they really showed some beautiful boxing skills while keeping that mexican fighting tradition.
it's sad there hasn't been a 3rd fight between Pacman and Marquez in their primes.
much respect to those guys. Marquez - Vazquez IV gonna be Fight of the year 2010. I hope JMM gets a couple of good competitive fights before he stops.
i'm glad so many ppl agree with my point of view. i've always kinda had the feeling though that Juan Manuel Marquez never really got the respect he's deserved. maybe cuz i'm more of a boxer myself, but i think he's in the top 4-5 greatest mexican fighters. I wish he could still improve and get better, i still think he has some great fights in him.
Rafael certainly does, he's gonna be fine i think, if he keeps fighting top tier competition. but because of the Vazquez-Marquez legacy, he's gonna be remembered, like ward-gatti.

I am not even sure that is going to be the best fight of the card...
But, yea props to the Marquez brothers. IMO the best set of fighting brothers in the history of the sport.
What a great post my friend. The Marquez clan is the s.hit.
Skill-wise JMM is one of my all time 3 Mexican favorites. From my point of view right next to “El Finito Lopez” and just an inch behind the great Salvador Sanchez!
If I knew how to give you green K I've had already done it. Cheers!
