Curious to know who you got for me. I just watched this video and seen a guy I've never really heard of, Meldrick Taylor, and was that guy awesome.
Pac-Man is pretty fast, Sugar Ray Lenard's speed is legendary, who are more?
In order...
Roy Jones Jr
Muhammad Ali
Meldrick Taylor
Meldrick had incredible speed, as did Jones and Ali. Jones and Ali had superhuman reflexes, which is what separated them from other fighters with speed.
that wasnt the question
I know it wasn't the question but anyone can leave people with the perception that they are faster than what they are by throwing with an open glove with little power.
Throwing hard punches with speed is the true test of your overall speed because to generate power you generally have to load up and clench your fists, if you have ever boxed you should know this.
All these guys are fast, but the answer is Roy Jones Jr. and then eveyone else. Roy could throw a KO starting with his hands down at his waste and you still never saw it coming. 5 hooks with the same hand, landing all. I see guys move there hands fast, not that fast though, and never with the intentions. Roys speed was absolutely real. he KO'd you with it. Other guys just shoe shine. With 33 seconds to go in round 8 or 9 against Derrick Harmon he throws 7 punches in one second. Then and there Roy proved to be from another planet.
Pac still schools him easy!!!
dude, is pac the only fighter youve ever seen fight???
nyways p4p i would have to go with rjj and ali...they were speed demons in weight classes where it wasnt normal.
other than that, id say taylor and perhaps leonard.

- Muhammad Ali
- Prime Mike Tyson
- Roy Jones Jr
- Sugar Ray Leonard
some of those taylor clips were sped up JFYI.
leonard, rjj, and judah are the fastest imo.
If they were sped up then it was HBO who sped them up because that's where I took the clips from.
2:55
Roy Jones Jr.
Muhammad Ali
Hector Camacho Sr.
Howard Davis
Meldrick Taylor
Shane Mosley
Sugar Ray Leonard
Zab Judah
Floyd Patterson
Please stop putting Judah's name with the Greats. Judah only puts a third of Pac's output.
Not mentioning Pac in the ATG's fastest is criminal. Pac outlanded DLH, Hatton, MAB, Cotto & EM an average of 3:1. And those opponents were all HOFamers.
That's not exactly what the TS asked now is it? Though I always though Taylor was more of a punches in bunches guy instead of having great single punch speed. P4P speed, I think it's RJJ, and Judah deserves a shout-out as well in terms of absolute speed.
Well it should be factored into everyone's choice because its far easier to appear fast when your throwing with an open hand and shoe shining as appose to appearing to be fast and throwing hard punches.
