New home-cooking scandal in the super-six.

Following the extensive hometown advantages allowed for american André Ward, it was believed by most, that the practice of home-town referees and judges was to be a thing of the past given the tourneys international flavour. Not so. According to BILD Andre Direll's promotor Gary Shaw has, like his US compatriot Joe Goosen, made arrangements so that both the referee and one of the judges is from Direll's homestate of Michigan. One of the other judges is the mexican who had Direll as winner in his close encounter with Carl Froch in Nottingham. The final judge is Gino Cavalleri. Both sides agree on him. The rules in the super six are as follows: Judges and referees is to be pointed out by the local athletic commision. However there must be one judge from each of the participants homecountry and the third judge must be neutral. The referee must always be from a neutral country. (Source: ekstrabladet.dk)

i don't want to see aa robbed. He's done nothing to deserve it. But dirrell was robbed, clearly. People saying he didn't do enough to win is comical. He made froch look like a bum. go kentucky! John wall!

I can't believe people still think Froch won that fight. Clearly don't know what they are talking about. I do not like Direll or his style at all and I could find no conceivable way to give that fight to Froch. It wasn't even close. That said, I hope AA knocks Direll out. So all they need to do is change the referee and one judge and thats should be it. The important guy to change is the referee. That might mean the difference between winning and losing for AA.

Americans are just poor losers, they cant accept thier athletes are not good enough so they always find another reason why they lost. For proof of this just look at the threads where yanks are saying the wlad punch that knocked chamers the fukk out didnt connect. It's pathetic really. I don't think it was more than one guy who said that and he was well-owned in that thread.

the only problem i see here is the ref. the judges look fine to me because dirrell did beat froch imo.

I remember even the showtime announcers where praising Dirrel in the fight and made it sound like it was a clear decision for him then in the end they just switched it around and started bragging about Froch who clearly did not land anything the entire night..... That is why I don't pay attention to the announcers during a fight. They didn't even have the balls to say it was a bad decision. Altease they would have had the balls to point that out if it was an HBO event.

Well, I don't get that. I don't let the official result effect my scoring, after already knowing it. I did it that way because this board was going overboard in robbery cries, so I wanted to see if I could score it for Froch. I will not re-score it as the fight bore the shit out of me. Dirrell was so negative I couldn't believe he was fighting for a worldtitle and Froch was so crude, slow and unable to create the openings he should have against such a negative fighter.

I asked because it's so laughable when people score a fight 7-5 to guy A and then cry ROBBERY if guy B gets the decision. I hate that. They can call it controversial or debateable but never a robbery. Exactly. Thats one of the most annoying things about his board. A robbery is when one guy DOMINATES the fight and then gets jobbed i.e Funeka vs Guzman.
