He had a problem with his eye, and the surgeons ****ed it up and ruined his eye for good. So he had to retire. Good thing that he's a smart guy, because he is pretty successful in the world of finance.
Brock is still overrated. If most of the heavyweight UFC fighters were half as strong or fast as he is, they would beat him easily. He's a slugger, but he has great take down accuracy due to his wrestling background.
his dad taught him to box from title boxing betamax tapes of course hes overrated

lol this thread is about CALVIN Brock not Brock LENSAR.
Blind....Lol....He's not blind as far as I can tell(I see him all the time even though I'm not at that gym anymore). Just saw him at Golden Gloves 2 weeks ago. His eye is a lil' off though(lazy). He lives here in Charlotte and was helping train a couple of pro and soon to-be pro fighters from time to time. And I think he is with Bank of America or Wells Fargo still in some capacity. As you may recall he was called "The Boxing Banker" because he still worked for the bank.
I don't know if he's blind or not, it's just what I've read.

My cousin is blind in one eye and there is no way you could tell. Not saying you're wrong by any means. Just saying that doctors can insure that your eye looks normal, even if you can't see.
He suffered a detached retina against Chambers, the surgery to reapir it went bad and he got blind in one eye, so he retired from boxing, at least that's what I've read.

damn, i was never a fan of his but thats sad about going blind. since the surgery was botched and it affected the way he earns a living im sure he got paid a nice sum of cash so he can live comfortably though. but still taking away a boxing career from someone like that gotta hurt, not to mention being blind on one eye.

Brock was unexpectedly forced into retirement due to a botched eye surgery. The procedure's intent was to repair a detached retina suffered in his last bout with Eddie Chambers. As a result, Brock was left with permanent blindness in the affected eye.
