IF PBF wins over SSM...and PBF and PAC fight...
If PBF wins over PAC would you consider him a Top 10 ATG? If not, what other fighters will he must face to be considered?
If PAC wins (I know Pacfans say he already is a Top 10 ATG) same as PBF...
There's no way this fight won't be made, for the money involved and legacy of both fighters...
His resume is way too weak to even be consider in the top 20. This is coming from a Floyd fan.
A win over Manny is not going to put him ahead of Manny or in the top 20.
I really don't care to rate Floyd in ATG lists. Manny either. Not that their not that good, but that it's impossible for those guys to surpass guys who are considered legends of the sport due to beating fellow legends. A win over Manny will never equal say a win over Duran. But Do you see Floyd making fights to enhance his legacy? But can he enhance his legacy at this point anyways? Because any win he gets won't really be over a Duran/SRL level fighter so any win could be devalued.
Floyd has the talent to more than likely beat Pavlik... but I'm being realistic here in thinking that Floyd would most likely retire if he beats Pac. That alone wouldn't propel him into top 10 ATG.His resume is way too weak to even be consider in the top 20. This is coming from a Floyd fan.

I agree, by fighting SSM, PAC, Berto, P Will, Bradley, etc...he will have an incredible last run to erase all the missing fights...though we still have to see if he steps up to the plate and do it.
If he beats Pac, SSM, Berto, Bradley, a few other guys, and wins a title at 154... you have to put him in the top 25 of all time. He has all the skills and talent to be in the top 25 and he would have a good resume to back up his skills.
Too late? It's never too late to make your resume better.
He can beat guys like Pac, SSM, Berto, and keep improving his resume.
I was just getting ready to say that.
If he unified the WW titles, I'd probably consider him equal if not a little better in terms of resume than Pacquiao.
I guess some people will argue that we shouldn't even be having this discussion. I don't blame him for not fighting Margarito, but for that one year that Cotto was in his prime, that fight should have happened. PBF/Golden Boy vs Top Rank rivalry aside
Top 10 is much too high. If he wins 20-30. Somewhere in there. Manny is top 30 to me right now so beating him, especially with a dominant UD would say alot.
1) fight wont be made
2) if it hypothetically did, floyd would knock him out and in 6 months he would be ducking berto or whoever is the new flavor of the month
roach wont bend and testing is reality now. roach has it in his head he's making the decisions when it should reall be pac. roach loves the limelight cuz he was a bum fighter and never got his 15.

Floyd should be considered a top 20 ATG talent but in terms of legacy beating Pacquiao would be too little too late. He would be banking on Pac's achievements over his own...
Floyd has had a very great career but the fact is he let the WW division clean itself out and that will always hurt him.

Manny would move into the top 20 with a win over PBF.
Floyd would move into the top 30 with a win over Manny.
Manny would still be ahead of Floyd with a win or lost.
you gon make 'em mad with this one !
