So when we say Lewis isnt it safe to say that its been just the Klits for the last 6-7 years?
I dont get how that equals a great division. I never claimed that Tyson, Tunney, and Holmes fought in the Golden Age Im just saying that this era just may be the worse.
Especially when the third best guy is a blown up crusierweight and the 4th is an overweight guy.
1) Haye at #3 isn't proven, he might be, but he hasn't fought any top 10 yet aside from Valuev and that was a debacle so we don't know yet.
2) Haye is 6'3 and naturally 220-225 he's always been a HW and is as big as Foreman and Ali give me a break.
3) Arreola at #4?
This era has lots of good HW's the brothers are just that much better.
Ibragimov
Chagaev
Haye
Peter
Valuev
Boytsov
Povetkin
Adamek
Chambers
Arreola
Thompson
Brock
Gomez
Byrd
Lyakhovich
Brewster
Pulev
Helenius
All very soild HW's. If K2 weren't around all the others would be neck and neck and people would not be talking about a lack of depth, true story. They're just that dominant.
There hasn't been a TRULY GREAT....since Iron Mike.......and that is no muthafukkne lie.........the HW div is a fukken joke.....
Since Tyson? Hmm. You seem to be forgetting someone bro. Let's see what George Foreman has to say about it...

I thought you were implying that there aren't any other great fighters besides the brothers so it means they're overrated, i'm asking if the same is true for the fighters mentioned above?
The last great HW was Lewis obviously

Sir can please answer the original question first before we get off subject.

Name other great heavies who were in their prime at the same time that Holmes, Marciano, Louis, Tunney, Tyson (in his prime 85-89) reigned. Those guys not great heavies?

The Klitschko's are making their carefully selected opponents look bad.
David Haye would be a good fight but he's trying to build up his record first. Beating Valuev is not easy, considering Valuev's record. Haye is definitely up there as a world class heavyweight but he still hasn't had much experience with the bigger guys. We need to see him in there with a few more fighters before arguing whether he would have given past champs a run for their money.
It's definitely a weak era whichever way you spin it. You know that when some of these ex-guys from the Lewis era (which was very strong) are still competing at the top despite being in their late 30's and 40's.
i.e. Ruiz, Tua, Rahman, Holyfield etc
When I think of great heavyweights and when heavyweight fighting was at it's last prime would probably be the Tyson-era. You started with Tyson then Holyfield and ending with Lewis. Those three fighters made the 90's and early 2000's great heavyweight years.
They don't have a chance to be great cause the Klits are Knocking them out. SIMPLE.
That makes no sense at all.
You can say Fighter A is a great fighter before they fight Klits but we havent been able to do that. None of them are great. Its the Klits and everyone ese.
lennox never started declining, he just declined in one fight, agianst Vitali, then retired.
Im playing along Im not trying to bust balls Im just trying to prove a point. So basically since 2003 there hasnt been any other GREAT Heavies. Doesnt that mean this era is not a great one.
Ok. What would be the year you say he was starting to decline and wasnt Prime anymore.
