If he stayed retired he would have faded into obscurity. I pretty much agree with this. Apart from the fact that he's a 5 weight world champion, which is pretty rare. His resume is nothing special. An old Oscar, blown up Hatton, his best wins are probably over Corrales and Castillo.

Floyd was on course to being one of the best ever... but he kind of got lost along the way and started caring more about money than anything else, money over legacy and proving he was truly the best. In terms of talent he's probably up there with Henry Armstrong, Ray Robinson, Ali etc. because his talent is so extraordinary. But it's about more than talent.

Dela hoya's resume was way better compared to floyd and he wasn't even at the top 50ATG. I admit floyd has a GOAT SKILL but has a mediocre resume because he don't to test his skill against the best of the division.
