If you missed Pacquiao-Clottey, fought before a crowd of almost 51,000, HBO will replay the pay-per-view bout Saturday night (11 ET/PT).
The pay-per-view numbers aren't out yet because Arum and HBO PPV only have totals from the satellite services.
"All we have is the satellite numbers and they are very strong," Arum said. "We're not giving out any numbers yet because we have very little from the cable systems, which you need. The cable numbers are very fragmented, so it could be a few days. But the number that you can't go any lower than is 650,000 for the fight. That is the worst it would do, but it should be a lot higher."

I'm thinking it does 900k+ "if" 650k+ is their prediction number based off satelite orders alone.
Directv has 18million subscribers
Dishnetwork has 14million
Comcast cable 23.559 million
according to wikipedia.
People are exaggerating that one boring PPV will effect future shows.
Pac is a star who put on an impressive performance even if the fight itself was bad, this was also the first boring Pac fight in ages. Tyson, ODLH, Mayweather all bounced back from boring PPVs.
800k PPV buys is very impressive for this fight, instead of bickering about Mayweather vs Pac, we should celebrate the fact that a boxing PPV did so well.
True,
700k is great and if it is true they did without much promotion or hype. All I heard during fight week. "It doesn't even seem like a fight is this weekend" Imagine if Arum would of went all out do what Golden Boy does. He could of possibly broke a mili.
But, Arum just said here is Pac here is cowboy stadium buy the fight. And, that was the whole promotion.
And really... that's 700k with Joshua Clottey.
Which, I think is the BIGGEST point of all.
People got to used to hearing 2.5 million. 2 million, 1.4 million.. 1 million.
Not realizing those numbers are RIDICULOUS.. and that 700k is GREAT.
400k - 500k IS GREAT.

See that is why I love chatting with u Reed. You knock some sense into me
I was comparing Floyds numbers from 4-5 years ago
but he is a whole different attraction now
Thanks Reed
:fing02:............
I think Floyd has shown as far as PPVs that people pay to see him fight.
I definitely think it cracks 700k.

If it is in New York it would but also Yankee Stadium might be better though. Since it would hold more people. Or ever have it in New Jersey in the Giants/Jets stadium.
Yeah I said Yankee Stadium too especially if the Cotto-Foreman card gets good reviews.
I think he could, but 700k is not the final number for the Clottey fight. That is what Arum is stating. But, from experience we have to take what Arum says with a grain of salt.
ONce again J you are so right
but Im just going off the projected numbers
Do you think we will get the actual numbers
is there any way of getting the actual numbers?
I know
I think pac is the one calling shots cause he is P4P #1
Floyd is not far behind
Reed do you think FLoyd would draw more than the projected 700k if he were to fight CLottey?
I dont

And your p4p ranking is mythical, it brings you nothing in the negotiating table.
Your ranking in the weight class, the belt you hold, your historical PPV numbers.. definitely do.
I tried to tell Makavelli that MSG with Floyd-Pac would be sick.

So Pac is in the driver seat in the negotiations based on a speculative view that Floyd might not do as well with Clottey as Pac did?
That's not how it works.
