ne he isnt. nothing is signed. they were only talking. I hope not, this fight does nothing to hype a Manny Pac showdown. How about May 8th (Cinco de Mayo weekend) on HBO with Diaz or Marquez in Texas, with the replay of Mosley vs Mayweather. I should be a promoter.

Bradley and Alexander are not tests for Valero, he just gets beaten badly by both. A test is something you learn from but still come out the victor in a tough fight, it gives you much needed experience of different styles. Valero does not want to get in the ring with the best 140 pounders because he will get beat, he's not even had 1 fight at that weight yet and his resume isn't exactly overflowing with big names from Lightweight and Super Featherweight. A good test would be Lamont Peterson, though i think Peterson has a good chance of winning that. Other than that maybe Juan Diaz or someone would be good.

It's more likely that Valero gets outboxed and KO'd by Alexander. Sure... Valero would eat Alexander for breakfast man, who are you kidding?

I would love to see Valero destroy Alexander, get them two belts and fight Pac in November, that would be my choice.

Roach is talking Valero for November. If that's the case, I think there is the opportunity for Valero to secure a fight in the meantime and still be ready for huge TX showdown with Manny in November. I think a "set up" fight, with the right promotion, would be critical in setting up a Mega Fight with Manny Pacquiao. If Valero can get a fight within the next few months, who should it be & why, where should it be, and at what weight? Timothy Bradley, at 140, in late June is who it should be, maybe July... Not really sure where it should be, although I bet Valero could get it in his hometown since Bradley's probably desperate for a fight right now, and will fight "anyone, anywhere" as they say... And why? Because Timothy Bradley is a true test for Edwin Valero... Pac needs another fight though too.. I think that he should fight sometime this summer, like august, and then fight Valero in late November or December, cuz thats a long layoff for Pac 8 months... He shouldnt be fighting Valero though, he should fight Floyd in November/December if he beats Mosley for the undisputed P4P #1 and Welterweight Championship of the World... Sounds more appealing to me

Juan Manuel Marquez @ 140lbs! Plain & Simple. If he can beat Marquez, a fight with Manny in TX would be monstrous. And if JMM wins then hey, Manny vs Marquez III.
