He has excellent power in both hands, he is pretty fast and he is technically great. Also, he has an excellent trainer in Russ Anber. The major thing he should improve is his defense. He gets hit a little too much in my opinion. He is very exciting to watch, he always go for the knockout
I don't know if he'll be P4P top 10 in 3-4 years, only time will tell. He has a good test in his next fight against Walid Smichet who is a good journeyman, who always come to bring excitement and a good show.
Here in Quebec, David Lemieux is our best prospect!!
Same thing I think, je suis bien d'accord avec toi !!
I've seen pretty much all his fights. At the beginning I was a little worried because he had a really good offense, but his defense was not so good. However, Russ Amber ( his coach, very respected in Quebec ) made a real good joob and David is progressing in everyfight. In his last fight his style was similar to a mix of a young Bernard Hopkins with a Mexican style like Barrera.
Don't know if he will be top 10 p4p, but if he continues to progress he will definitely be a champion. But be patient guys, don't start with the ducking and the talkshit, he's very young and Russ said at numerous time that he wants to progress slowly and be patient with David.
For people who are interested, Lemieux is half Armenian and half Quebecer, his father is armenian, or his mother, not sure about it

those are some pretty short arms for a middleweight. that cant be right.
i dont think we'll know for a while. word is that they're taking the JCCjr approach with lemieux and wont make him really step up his competition til he's around his 40th fight.
he's a good prospect though, aggressive with fast hands but he's untested.
Got any footage of him? Not all that big or a very big reach for his weight class.
actually it is cuz there's a shiyat load of good prospect in middleweight, just no stars other than kelly pavlik. martinez and williams aren't real middleweights.
