Not that anyone gives a shit.
I have my major gripes with Pac. He's awkward, careless, and just does not have finesse, but I am the first to say that the man just has superhuman consistency. I watch, completely enthralled at his ability to pull power out of his ass. Some of the power punches in this fight were just scary, and although Clottey's rib shots sounded nice, Pacquiao could throw a monster body shot and go right to a thunderous straight ledt in the blink of an eye. I just can't fathom power and speed coming together in such incredible harmony.
Clottey seemed flat, but In my opinion Pac made it that way. Clottey had his moments and it was easy to tell that his technique was superior but it's the athleticism that kept him at bay.
Mayweather is another story. The reflexes, athleticism, speed, and accuracy is there. But for the first time I wonder whether the shoulder roll alone will be enough. I just can't see manny beaten by anything short of a lightweight throwing percentage. Floyd would need to abandon some of the pure defense and incorporate a higher work rate. I also think that to affect Manny one would have to invade his workspace a bit more. He has great foot work but there is space to make him uncomfortable but that requires a lot of thrown punches.
And god damn is Pacquiao open to the uppercut. Not that it affects him much, but it IS there
Not really man. Watch the fight again -- it is plain to see (and he said it himself) he was inviting Clottey to hit him in order to try and open him up. Pacquiao is not as open or easy to hit as people are making out. You gotta understand it was a tactic, just as it was a tactic in the Cotto fight, although in that fight it was used more as a mental tactic to unsettle Cotto.

What the Clottey fight showed me is that Pac is more than happy to earn a decision. Clottey never opened up and gave Pac the chance to counter. Floyd fights the same way. His defensive first attitude is what has kept Floyd from taking punishment, but it is also why he will lose against Pac. The guy threw 1200 punches for christ sake. Pac will be satisfied to hit arm because it wins rounds. Pac's unbelievable work rate will make him victorious against Floyd.
I just can't see anyone humiliating floyd, no way. I'm not even a huge mayweather fan I just love technique but in the case of amazingly gifted athletes, pacquiao being one of them, athletisism can trump skill. Mayweather has almost perfect skill, so in my mind its supreme skill versus superhuman athletisism

That's what amazed. The guy throws wicked combos with bad intentions with such fluidity it's crazy.
