It is something that will bother me forever. I think it was a bad stoppage. When i say bad stoppage i mean that Castillo after all that hell deserves to be able to try to answer back. Especially after Castillo knocked him down that round. Il never get over this
:damnit::thumbsdow
Look at what a horrible stoppage that was. Omg Weeks why didn't you let Corrales keep tee'ing off on a defenseless boxer. Horrible ref, should be fired. Shit stoppage.

No offense but you guys are tremendously out of your minds :thumbsdow
:lol1: Are you guy nuts or just acting nuts?
If Castillo would have died in the ring or suffered an injury that permanently put him out of boxing after that fight you would have been saying "The ref should have stopped that fight when his hands dropped and his head snapped back waa waa waa:crying:". Just my honest post-diction.
Na, it was a great stoppage. Castillo was done, his eyes were rolled back in his head and Corrales could have really hurt him had Weeks let him keep punching.
I didn't think is was a bad stoppage. I just thought Corrales should have already been Dq for the mouthpice shit. He was hurt and just leaning on the ropes, so the ref should have stop it.
Not at all. Head straight up, hands at his side, against the ropes, taking punishment in a war all night. Castillo later admitted the stoppage was fair himself.
nah it was a good call by the ref. castillo's head was looking up and his hands were hanging down. he was out on his feet.
what i can't get over was how corrales kept spitting out his mouthpiece to get some extra time to rest after those knockdowns. i felt castillo deserved to win this one.
Perfect stoppage, another big shot or two might of sent him to immediate brain damage. It was clearly over.
It's like the stoppage of Taylor vs Chavez. It's not the jobs ref to think about the fight and what happened before, it's his job to take care of the fighter, and when one more clean big shot can mean serious head trauma, you stop the damn fight.
Totally different situation. Not even closely related.

Castillo looked like he was out of it, though.... I would've probably stopped the fight too
I hate the ending of this fight though, Corrales should of been dq'd for cheating....
Yeah I know what you mean, he should have been dq'd. I suppose he got his just desserts in the next fight though.

Not at all. Castillo was trapped on the ropes not fighting back and the last blow to his head violently snapped his head around. You don't wait until the fighter is unconscious or half dead before you stop the fight. You stop it before that happens. The fight was stopped at the right time.
It was perfectly timed in my opinion. He was completely done by the time the ref stepped in. I can understand your point though given the circumstances, but a fighter's health should still come first.
