A couple of things can be learned from PAC/Clottey fight last night

Manny was showing a little frustration with Clottey early on. i was saying wait until round 3 (since i figured he was just being easy with Clottey in the first 2) but the trend continued and we all realized how tough Clottey's guard is. still, the double fisted punch was a sign of not knowing what to do against it. game plan for Roach was to have Manny stay busy, since they knew his activity would win rounds. All that talk of stopping him was just shittalk and proper promoting on his part. in relation to the match up with Mayweather, he will have a defensive fighter who slips, blocks and counters all in the same fluid motion. for Roach and Manny relying on the sheer volume of punches and power to "crush" Floyd, im afraid Floyd's accuracy and follow through will put him in position to land to more effective shot. All the talk about Manny being the one who throws punches at angles no one sees, will get a taste of his own medicine against a pot shotter as skilled as Floyd. Manny has shown to have a good chin, but so far he's only been hit from straight on.

Clottey's shell only protects him. He rarely makes his opponents pay. that's his only problem. he doesnt let his hands go. Manny would have hurt him if he would have brawled, but he could of also landed his own big punch. it's a shame because i thought he did well. Floyd on the other hand counters and sets up shots. His footwork is better than Clottey's and his reflexes and hand speed are faster too. i think Clottey showed that the check hook and straight right are still problems for Manny when times correctly. the sheer volume of punches from Manny was still impressive but what's going to happen when his face starts swelling in the second round from perfectly timed pot shots? will Manny give Floyd and double fisted punch too when he can't touch Floyd? over a 1000+ punches...hes gonna do some touching.

Mayweather is more than defense...while it's a big asset for him, he doesn't shell up for 12 straight rounds... Floyd actually counters and has an accurate output In No way am i comparing Styles or fighters to Mayweather. This is about his Defense and his Low output.(even though he his accurate)

i agree with you totally. pac/floyd won't be a good fight because floyd will run. we already know floyd can't beat pac with potshoting and running. we all know mosley/pac is the best fight in boxing right now his pot shoting wont come close to winning the fight with Pac throwing over 1000 punches. Pac throws 6 ore more combos like lighting.... Bang! lol No way he wins this fight without taking a chance and fighting.

#1) Its gonna take waaaaaaay more than Defense to beat Manny! #2)Your only hope is to in gauge and trade with him. Mayweather...is not gonna fight this Man! He cannot win! With all hate a side... Floyd doesnt throw as many punches as Pac. He is conservative (yet accurate) with his punches. His defense is impeccable but will not win the fight against Pacquiao! i hope the fight gets Made. Your right! Floyd would have to bring his A game offensively. I still think Pac gets hit too easy tho. Pac isnt afraid to get hit, thats for sure! So far hes taken them well and will trade shots with an opponent...get hit or not.

I agree the Mosley fight will be exactly that...A fight! But the emotions and build up for the Mayweather vs Pac fight will be well worth the money IMO. Even if the fight is a bore. true. The anxiety to the May / PAC fight will be nuts! all the way up to the bell. I just see it like a big firecracker that duds out!
