If I was Nasim My gameplan would be this.
I would back up the whole fight. Make Floyd come to me and take away his countering abilities. Not try to out box him but switch it up and RUN from him so to speak. I would have Shane all over the ring moving NON STOP and when Floyd commits to a punch you better catch his ass. You have to do something to throw Floyd off. Trying to outbox him or maul him will get you embarrassed. Just move , move and move some more. Also 80% of his punches should be jabs to the body and head. Then move some more. It wont be pretty but just keep moving eventually Floyd will have to come forward then try to make him pay. Make it a god awful UGLY fight and hope for a decision. Almost go into Cory Spinks mode and just dont stop moving.
Again not trying to outbox him just try to make him uncomfortable and make him think. Make him the aggressor and counter him. Moving non stop would drop Floyds accuracy way down and would give Shane more opportunities to land. Again doing it this way would make it the one of the most boring and ugliest fights in history but he will have a chance to win a decision with that handspeed. Keep backing up enough and Floyd will try to shoot the leaping left hook if Shane can catch him we'd have a fight. The judges wouldnt know what to do. It would be a hard fight to score. Now can Shane move with his legs. I doubt it.
But standing in one spot trying to outbox him or just trying to maul him will get Shane embarrassed.
What alot of you are failing to see is that somewhere about 3-4 years ago shane became this brawler
he was trying to knock everyone out with one punch
He cant do it
so it makes him look bad
He tried to do that with Cotto and cotto was just picking him apart plus Cotto used his jab beautifully
also Cotto is alot more offensive minded than Floyd so he was willing to risk more and was rewarded.
If I were in SSM corner I would focus on boxing being patient and not wasting any punches and hit that shoulder all night long.
Correct.......
If this was a prime Mosley, I'd agree with all this. But since he didn't have the legs to cut off the ring against Cotto, he ain't gonna do the same to Mayweather. I agree with the amount of punches Shane would have to throw but at this point, Shane would only be able to manage that against a stationary opponent.

The difference between Cotto and Floyd though is Cotto brought the fight to Mosley, I don't necessarily see that happening with Floyd. He's much more reserved and relies a lot on countering. Mosley did very well against Cotto, he just wasn't as consistent as he needed to be, yet still fought a very close fight. What I saw in the Margarito fight was Shane being more patient and being consistent while being able to keep his distance, things he really didn't do against Cotto nor Mayorga.
In the case of Mosley not being prime, I truthfully don't think it'll be an issue in this fight. Mosley's lost fights against people who brought the fight to him, but when you give him space to do what he has to do even at 39 he's still a dangerous fighter.
Key difference:
Judah gasses and has the mental capacity of a 10 year old after 4 or 5 rounds. Thats when Floyd stalked him with his hands up. He does against Southpaws for a reason because the shoulder roll doesnt work against Leftiues. Vs. Shane who wouldnt be tired it wouldnt work IMO.
Nobody can disagree with Zab being mentally weak at times I am not saying the man doesn't get tired either. But yall have to start giving people credit. PBF made Zab gas just as Cotto did. Zab has gone 10 & 12 rounds before so its not like he can't. Some fighter gas because of low stamina and sometimes they gas because of what the opponent is doing to them in the case of the PBF fight PBF made Zab gas.
Not saying you in particular but people can't say on one hand Zab was dominating and just got tired for no reason. The three rounds Zab won it wasn't like he wasn't hit at all in those rounds even though Zab CLEARLY won those rounds.

Floyd didn't dominated Judah because Judah gassed he started breaking his ass down the second half of the third round. He started breaking him down because he measured and started timing him which he will do against mosley.
I think one thing people aren't putting into the equation when talking Mayweather vs Mosley, and even Pacquiao vs Mayweather, is consistent punching. Floyd lets fighters sorta dictate the pace early on and then he adjusts. If you look at his past several fights, none of them really had a game plan to beat Floyd but to maul him. You'll never beat Floyd that way. Consistent punching will keep Floyd on the defensive a lot more than him being an effective counter puncher for 12 rounds.
For instance, A lot of us saw how Mosley beat Margarito and completely forgot what transpired prior to the KO. Mosley wasn't pressuring Margarito, he kept his distance and selected his shots and didn't waste any, a much bigger improvement from the Mayorga fight and even the Cotto fight. Now, you obviously can't compare neither to Floyd, but you have to look at what Mosley's capable of doing. He can brawl, but he also can box and be successful.
If I'm Mosley's trainer, I have Mosley throwing 70-80 punches a round, dig to the body, use your feet to not let Floyd set up and keep him on his toes. Use faints, and jab. To me, activity could be a key role in this fight. If Mosley is busy enough to where he's throwing a lot and landing with Floyd backing up and just getting counter punches off I believe Floyd's gonna have a tough time winning.

I didn't even realize I throw so much green k at you. I was about to toss you some for this but apparently I can't.

Stopped there. Fail. Shane isn't a counterpuncher.
Thats what I mentioned in my post that he doesnt have the legs to do it. Grabbing and cluthcing Floyd would be suicide as well. Hes very and strong and one of the best inside fighters in boxing he can make you miss and get his shots off thisclose to you. Shane is in deep shit period...lol.
Crazy to think Shane doesn't manhandle Floyd clinching. Floyd may be stronger than given credit for but he has nothing on Mosley.
Mosley's only chance in this fight is to try and make it an ugly clutch and grab type affair, otherwise he's ****ed.
Floyd's got him beat in every category except power. Hand speed, foot speed, movement etc.
Asking Mosley at this stage of career to keep moving laterally is laughable.
He's never been a lateral movement type of guy to begin with. For him to try this now would be stupid, he's neevr been that type of fighter and never will. Besides...he doesn't have the legs for it anymore.
His only chance is to try and B-Hop his way to a win. Make it boring and ugly and he's got a shot...otherwise he's in deep shit in this fight.

The fight would end up boring but its an interesting gameplan for SSM you have there Burner......it may catch Floyd off guard and take him out of his element as he seems perfectly content on the move and countering.
Yeah it might be worse then Direll-Stevens.
Hatton was wrestling Floyd more so then pressuring him with punches. When Floyd decided to wrestle back Hatton was done. Yeah I know he doesnt have the legs or smarts to execute a gameplan that doesnt involve him walking straight at Floyd getting picked apart.
Naazim has extended Bernard Hopkins's career this far teaching him how to fight ugly but effective and use his natural strength, I'm sure he has a good idea how to do something similar with Mosley. He won't have Mosley just walking into Floyd's counter punches he will give Mosley something to work with. Again, Hatton had some success and he isn't half the fighter Mosley is, nor did he have a trainer like Naazim Richardson. At least for half the fight, Mosley would have success pressuring and using his strength to work in the clinches.
