Like I said, I just watched Floyd Mayweather vs Jose Luis Castillo for the first time and I had it 114-112 for Jose Luis Castillo.
I gave Rounds 1-2-4-5-8 to Floyd
And I gave Rounds 3-6-7-9-10-11-12 to Jose Luis Castillo.
One thing for sure, I think Floyd didn't deserve to have a point deducted. Also, Jose Luis Castillo deduction was stupid and undeserved as hell. But I would have had deduct him a point for low blow anyways, so it's okay.
Anyways, it was a really close fight none the less, I had round 3-4-8-9 that were hard to score, but I have difficulties to understand the scores that judges gave and the scorecard of Harold Lederman was bad too.
How did you score that fight? No bashing please, just post your score and what rounds you gave!
I didn't think it was a robbery. I thought Castillo won but it was a close fight. However, credit to Floyd for getting right in there with Castillo again when honestly he didn't have to. He could of said **** that and keep it moving. But, he wanted to prove a point that he was the better fighter. And, he did in the rematch and won convicingly. So props to Floyd for that.
lol you guys complain so much about judges but THANK GOD no one on this site is a judge...9-3 or 10-2 floyd, complete domination...sorry i don't give points for ineffective aggression and blocked punches but jlc couldn't find floyd the entire fight...this fight was almost exactly the same as the hatton fight and dumbasses like the previous posters and harold lederman thought that fight was close when it was stopped yet the real judges and me had it 8-1 floyd...same as the jlc fight, haters say jlc won but it wasn't even a close fight
What he said. I guess I and anyone who thinks Floyd won are going to get lambasted on this but I had it 116-112. (115-113 if I want to be extra generous) for Floyd. If I remember it correctly I don't think I gave Castillo a round until the 6th. He pressured Floyd late but gave up to many early rounds. Like the gentleman said, Castillo, for the most part ineffective in his aggresion and was hit with many jabs and checkhooks as he was coming in including one that buckled his knees before the end of one round. I would suggest watching this fight with the SOUND TURNED OFF and just using your eyes. Too many people are swayed by the commentators and Lederman at times is clueless in scoring fights. Foreman for whatever reason always seemed to be "pulling" for Floyd's opponents (I have all Floyd's fight on DVD)and seemingly started swaying the other commentators to his line of thinking. I had Floyd winning both rounds with the deductions giving him a 10-8 round and a 9-9 round in the round he was deducted a point.
FYI I did give Castillo the championship rounds (11 & 12) which was surprising to me that Floyd got out-fought these crucial rounds if it had been a close fight on the judges scorecards. Castillo did too little, too late for me IMO. I also have this fight on DVD so that might help as well. Some of u might be watching on computer screens.
Another thing that I will be killed for but I guess in an effort to show that I am unbiased is that I scored Floyd-Oscar a draw. Floyd seems to get caught up in the moment and did not let his hands go enough also Oscar blocked a good amount of his shots. Was it the enormity of the fight, the gloves he was unaccustomed to, the extra weight? Who knows, all I know Floyd wasn't in top form in the fight and I had to give Oscar the rounds where Floyd just let Oscar pound on his body. You are now free to kill me LOL
the TS wanted every1 to post their scorecard, but since this thread got taken over by fools, i dont think im gonna write anything serious here.
btw. floyd at least didnt end up like this
just saying :D
Are the Mexicans that desperate to have a win over Floyd. Floyd clearly won this fight while being injured. Offered him a rematch and schooled him some more. What else do you want? A fight at Tijuana as well :lol1:
who are these mexicans
I dont see how anyone could give round 3 to JLC. I thought Floyd clearly won the first 5 rounds of that fight. I also dont see how people could give round I think it was 10 to JLC. Whatever the round that Floyd went toe to toe. He definitely outfought JLC that round but the HBO guys wanted to make it sound like he was losing just because JLC was bigger. I dont really remember how I scored the other rounds but I think I had it like 7-5 for Mayweather. I just remember clearly having the first 5 scored for Floyd so you would have to say that JLC won every other round to win that fight and I dont see it. You would have to say that Floyd didnt win 2 out of the final 7 to say that he didnt win but I dont see that either. Still, the first 5 were clear as day to me
exactly, you dont see or you are lying to yourself, you definely did not see the real outcome, floyd definitely won the robbery . Now watch the fight instead of not seing it, lol, nyahahahahahahaha

will have to rewatch....but one thing i do remember is having Floyd winning the 11th rd........he got the better of Castillo and landed the cleaner + harder shots in that rd after he moved into the pocket.....
i thought he won this rd...........close rd but i though Floyd did enough...his punches crisper...even sound different....brilliant triple left at 32 seconds left of rd 11.....would have been an awesome fight if he got in the pocket earlier.......
At least Mayweather got right back in there with a guy that most fought beat him him. Apart from Juan Diaz with Malignaggi i don't remember a whole lot of fighters doing that. Most just take their gift W and run.
yeah that's where he got props he could of ducked him but he went back and fought his fight and Larry Merchant let him know he ran to victory. Larry Merchant seemed to have been the catalyst to why Mayweather transformed into an arogant punk but Larry pulls no punches.

First, I'm a Floyd fan, I'm not a nuthugger like you. You can think he won, that's your opinion and I respect it, but you can't say it was a complete domination. You say JLC never found Floyd during the fight but yet, he connected more than Floyd and had a very good connect percentage of 40%....
