lmao at those who think that GBP is the leading promotional company....
name just one fighter they made..JUST ONE...
Who cares what the fighter does.
A promotional company does just what it says its gonna do. Promote fighters.
Whether the fighter develops or not is up to him. Not his promotional company cherry picking for him
It has to be Top Rank, they have the big star in boxing at the moment and people need to remember that Mayweather isn't a GBP fighter. GBP have lost some big stars this past year (DLH, Hatton, Hopkins) and are now more in the process of building the stars of tomorrow. When Pacquiao retires, GBP might take over if they continue to have HBO in their pocket.
GBP: solid cards, set HBO dates and at one time or another the best prospects and champs under their banner
shaw and dibella are the most admirable promoters though as they genuinely care for their fighters
Top Rank are good at building a fighter up, they take care of their guys. Frank Warren came out and criticized GBP recently for failing to develop one young fighter towards greatness. They were trying to develop Ortiz then threw him in with Maidana and he collapsed. Top Rank never really outmatch their young guys; if there's a criticism to be made, it's that they take quite a while to develop some fighters. But let's face it, Julio Cesar Chavez jr is never gonna be a world beater.
Don King Promotions will always be my favorite, he put the Promoter and pre fight hype on the map. Even if this was his last hurrah, he did a brilliant job with Tito and Chavez.
