No actually Shane Mosley is faster than him, stronger and more skilled. Mosley is an overall better fighter than Clottey. Clottey has a better defense but that's it. To beat Mosley you need what Clottey doesn't have: a good jab. The three guys who defeated Mosley all had a great jab. EXACTLY, and just to add on. Clottey is a stationary fighter, doesn't turn doesn't move just comes straight forward and back. Thats cool....if your throwing punches, and Clottey doesn't. Shane would eat dude for breakfast I'm telling you. This is exactly why I was so excited when these 2 were supposed to fight last year. Perfect fight for Shane to just dispaly all of his weapons.

shane has no angles to penetrate against clottey's defence. he's got the best angle to penetrate the defense, looping hook over the top of the guard. Not only that Shane would tear that boy's body up!!!

clottey got a split decision defeat after margo nearly killed cotto. shane fought cotto before margo and never was knocked down in that bout. (clottey was put on his butt against cotto) shane fought cotto very closely also. clottey cried through out that bout against cotto, and sometimes looking as if he was trying to find a way to get out of the fight. mayweather without a doubt is fighting a more dangerous opponent in shane then pac is in clottey. PAC will tko clottey to be honest with you. :boxing: that is obvious.....hence the hype for his fight has made everyone forget the Pac fight is even going down this wk end.........

Clottey beat Cotto that beat Mosley. I think Clottey can win. You all just underrate Clottey because he is fighting Pac. The truth is you Floyd fans want to overrate Mosley so that Floyd will be given more credit if he beats Mosley than Pac beating Clottey. Clottey can beat Pac, Mosley and Floyd. Mosley was ranked number 3 on the ring magazine and boxingscene's P4P list well before this fight was signed. I don't think "Floyd Fans" needed to overrate Mosley. His credentials have been put on display, which is the reason he is looked at as the third best fighter in the world right now. Whereas Clottey's best wins were against Zab Judah (who has all the talent in the world but nothing upstairs) and Diego Coralles (who should never have tried coming up to 147 that late in his career after being in so many wars). If you want to use Cotto as a stepping stone, then we can say that Cotto won close controversial decisions over both. But Mosley outlanded Cotto, hurt him, had him running never went down, and gave Cotto his first real beating at 147. When Clottey fought Cotto, Cotto was already considered damaged goods, after the Mosley and Margarito fights. Not just that, but Cotto dropped Clottey in the fight.

Have ppl totally overlooked where Mosley is on the P4P rankings right now. Do I think he beats Floyd? No, but I do think it will be a good fight. Do I think Clottey, who needs a fighter to stand right in front of him to beat him can beat Mosley? HELL NO. Clottey is a good fighter, but he's no where near Mosley's caliber even at 39.

1st off Shane is 38 and not 39 for the hundredth time. Floyd is also 33 so stop trying to make it sound like this fight is 25 vs 45. Clottey is my man 100% but he's starting to go backwards while Shane is starting to look great again. There is no way in hell that Clottey shouldve lost to that version of Cotto. Even if you think he won it was still to close for comfort

No, i don't think Clottey can beat Sugar. Clottey is 32 not 22 so let's not act like he's this young stud who is coming up and destroying everyone he faces, he's in his 30s just like Sugar. He's simply a tough shell to crack and is capable of beating any top 10 WW.
