If he outsells Pacquiao/Cotto considering Cotto is a bigger draw?
Mayweather has outsold Pacquiao with 3 common opponents, and if his fight with Mosley does better than 1.3 PPV buys, why would he accept a 50/50 split with Pacquiao?
Also add in the #1 WW ranking to his resume if he beats Mosley, he has much more leverage and rightfully so.
no, people will look at floyd as a bully
i agree if floyd beats shane he's the #1 WW, but pac is still #1 p4p
boxing insiders will be pissed at floyd for not sticking to 50/50.
pac and arum's position will still be 50/50 or they walk.
they won't, but still 50/50 or no fight
pound for pound champion manny pacquiao will give floyd the middle finger and say "see you later gay boys" and walk out.
so what, judah lost his last fight before he fought mayweather
wtf are you talking about..of course now Arum will still want 50/50..because he knows now they will be crushed in PPV sales..but before May/Mosley was in talks..Arum was the genuis who went on record saying they would demand a bigger split if the Pac numbers did better than Floyd's..of course the idiot Arum had no idea Floyd would fight Mosley or he wouldnt have opened his mouth in the first place..so if that was his stance then..Floyd can very well do the same..Im not saying it would make it easier..but Like Arum thought he could do it..so does Floyd!
lets not ignore the fact that when the Pac/May negotiations fell apart..(before May/Mosley talks began) Arum went on record saying If the Pac fight did better numbers than Floyds..they will have to negotiate and get a bigger split...why on earth did he do that!..that gave Floyd ammo to respond if his fight did better numbers, he was demanding a bigger split..
so again blame Arum for his loose mouth!
I personally think Floyd has the standing to demand a bigger split, because he has proven himself as the common denominator when it comes to PPV sells..but if they can agree on 50/50, even better..as long as the fight is made..
exactly, as long as the fight gets made, and it ain't getting made without a 50/50 split
yet hes the one sitting at the nego. table while pac will have left a few times.
haha, whos the duckquaio now
if floyd comes to the table without a 50/50 split everyone will understand that it's floyd's fault for the fight falling apart and that floyd is ducking. who's the duckweather now?
as someone previously mentioned...you are too guilible
as someone previously mentioned... you are a moron
yet hes the one sitting at the nego. table while pac will have left a few times.
haha, whos the duckquaio now
Look, flomo, Pac is not the one pretending to clean up the sport. He suspended his political ambition thinking that it would be any other fight that was made without so much fuss. Instead, he was slandered, accused of doing something dirty and all that shit, then asked to bow down to your Almighty.
Bottom line is, Pac is an exciting fighter. Floyd is boring, which explains the PPV sales. Half of them is rooting for his ass getting KTFO.
lets not ignore the fact that when the Pac/May negotiations fell apart..(before May/Mosley talks began) Arum went on record saying If the Pac fight did better numbers than Floyds..they will have to negotiate and get a bigger split...why on earth did he do that!..that gave Floyd ammo to respond if his fight did better numbers, he was demanding a bigger split..

it doesnt matter if they walk away or not. but if they walk away this time, they are going to get massacred by the boxing press and people will probably start dissecting pacs pattern of fights.
thats even more heat coming their way. they are the ones wiith their backs against the wall
whatever you say man. i doubt they dismiss manny and everything he's accomplished in his career becuz a fight with floyd fell apart. everything he had already achieved would still exist.
"backs against the wall..." pfff. i dont think manny or top rank would care. see how easily they moved on?
then people will look at pac as the scared fighter for sure.
Floyd beating Shane makes Floyd the toughest and best WW, no questions asked. if pac doesnt fight him, hes going to get murdered by boxing insiders and analyst for ducking
no, people will look at floyd as a bully
i agree if floyd beats shane he's the #1 WW, but pac is still #1 p4p
boxing insiders will be pissed at floyd for not sticking to 50/50.
no they wont, b/c their positions will be totally different then than it is now.
pac and arum's position will still be 50/50 or they walk.
thats why they wont pick up where they left off.
they won't, but still 50/50 or no fight
Floyd will walk in with proof hes the bigger draw, beat the bigger threat and the guy who beat the guy(mosley>marg>cotto,) and won the belt officially with out catchweights and forcing the champion to put the belt on the line
pound for pound champion manny pacquiao will give floyd the middle finger and say "see you later gay boys" and walk out.
not to mention, pac is fighting a guy who lost his last fight...hahaa
so what, judah lost his last fight before he fought mayweather
Stupid thread.
Here's the scenario: After the Pac vs Clottey fight, Pac is going to go home to his country. Boxing would be the last thing on his mind. PRESSURES ARE OFF. With all the unpleasant events that transpired over the last couple of months the only way anyone could convince him to go back to the US to fight is a clear go signal without any of the fuss that accompanied the previous failed negotiations. Bottom line is, if you want him, give him a clear platform. If not, he could care less. Mayweather not giving in to a 50/50 split is a surefire of ending the talks right there. It just means he is really not interested. (He's scared, why would he?)
then people will look at pac is the scared fighter for sure.
Floyd beating Shane makes Floyd the toughest and best WW, no questions asked. if pac doesnt fight him, hes going to get murdered by boxing insiders and analyst for ducking
manny doesnt need floyd to cement his legacy. its already there.
asking for 50/50 isnt ducking.
im sure some of those same analysts and insiders could flip the script and talk about floyd pricing himself out.
no they wont, b/c their positions will be totally different then than it is now.
thats why they wont pick up where they left off.

like i said, manny and top rank have already shown that they'll walk away from the fight if they dont agree with something. they'll always have other options.
floyd comes in asking for 60/40 or anything higher, the negotiations will end right there. if he wants to jeopardize the fight by coming in with those demands then thats on him and his team. where else would he turn?
doesnt matter, pac wont be in a position to call shots. he sort of was in that position last time and thats why floyd compromised somuch
floyd will be rightfully entitled to being the shot caller.
pac then can duck again, its only going to further hurt pac
50/50 or the fight doesn't happen.
floyd's the one that ducked the first fight.
no why floyd is going to produce higher numbers...and last negotiations will have nothing to do with the upcoming ones.
they will start with a blank slate
i'm glad you're not negotiating cause if you were we'd never see the fight.
no why floyd is going to produce higher numbers...and last negotiations will have nothing to do with the upcoming ones.
they will start with a blank slate
no they wont. they will pick up where they left off.
And what do you think about what I said, about if their next fights have more then a Million difference in buys?
thats great. more money for floyd and mosley.
only parties' opinions that matter are floyd's camp and top rank.
top rank wont back down from 50/50.
pac wont have any leverage.
the same way cotto didnt.
floyd is the one fighting the legit WW champ and will win the belt at the proper limit, not a catch weight, floyds numbers will be higher, and will prolly be considered P4P#1 after beating mosley.
pac has no leverage
this kinda attitude means the fight won't happen

my man, these Pacquiao fans are bringing up no facts or points. They just are pointing out that he can walkaway or he doesn't need Mayweather.
NEWSFLASH : If Mayweather wins May 1st, he will be the #1 WW + #1 P4P fighter, along with outselling him vs 3 different opponents and outselling Pacquiao vs Cotto. It would be a hard case for Pacquiao fans to argue otherwise.
