Stupid thread. Here's the scenario: After the Pac vs Clottey fight, Pac is going to go home to his country. Boxing would be the last thing on his mind. PRESSURES ARE OFF. With all the unpleasant events that transpired over the last couple of months the only way anyone could convince him to go back to the US to fight is a clear go signal without any of the fuss that accompanied the previous failed negotiations. Bottom line is, if you want him, give him a clear platform. If not, he could care less. Mayweather not giving in to a 50/50 split is a surefire of ending the talks right there. It just means he is really not interested. (He's scared, why would he?)

pac wont have any leverage. the same way cotto didnt. floyd is the one fighting the legit WW champ and will win the belt at the proper limit, not a catch weight, floyds numbers will be higher, and will prolly be considered P4P#1 after beating mosley. pac has no leverage this kinda attitude means the fight won't happen

If he outsells Pacquiao/Cotto considering Cotto is a bigger draw? Mayweather has outsold Pacquiao with 3 common opponents, and if his fight with Mosley does better than 1.3 PPV buys, why would he accept a 50/50 split with Pacquiao?
