Who would win Mosley vs Clottey ? and why

I think CLottey wins because Mosley would actually get countered a lot. Clottey will block Mosley's shots and Shane does get tired in the later rounds make no doubt about it. The Margarito fight got a lot of people fooled about Mosley. If anybody let Mosley punch them repeatedly in the head with no defense then they too would get destroyed. THat includes Pacquiao and Mayweather.

I personally think it would be a very close fight. I believe he has a tighter defense, which for me would be the deciding factor. On the other hand he does have the habit of giving away important rounds. If not for that, I think Clottey would win, in my opinion he is the better boxer and has just as good of a chin. seeing more for clottey here, but i am pretty mixed on it.i think it would be SD. and you cant compare the cotto fights either, cause mosley gave cotto a very tough fight, though i did have cotto clearly winning by 2 rounds. and cotto was badly cut for the majority of the fight. and though i personally believe cotto wasn't shot after the marg loss, mosley did fight his before margs, and clottey fought him after.

Clottey will surely win. Cotto gave mosley some asswhoopin' that he wasnt able to give Clottey Ass whooping? He fought for 7 rounds and then ran for 5 and almost got KO'ed until the ref stepped in and pulled them apart because there was "water on the ground". That doesn't look like an ass whooping to me. And that's the reason why he lost to Margo. He fought for the first half and tried to backpedal once the punches started catching up to him, but Margo's pressure didn't allow him to run away. And Clottey is no Winky Wright. Winky knows how to mix up his clamshell defense with his effective southpaw offense. Clottey does the exact opposite.

I expect every Floyd hater to say Clottey would beat Mosley. :ugh: Actually a couple of Floyd fans like Dominicano Soy and Ray have told me that they think Clottey would beat Shane... So I don't know why you think Floyd haters will say Clottey? Matter of fact why are Floyd fans so paranoid? Really, this question has to do more between Shane-Clottey than Floyd.

I think Shane would tee off on Clottey and win a close(ish) UD.

I am kind of getting at who people think has the tougher fight , floyd or manny ? but ultimately i just want to see what other people think on who would win between those 2 guys. both floyd and manny have good tough fights ahead of them, and if they both win it makes their fight even better and more hyped. Clottey wins imo. Mosley is open for punches outside of Clotteys shell. His pawing jab that he uses to set everything up just doesn't work well againts it. Mosley has never looked good against defenses beit average or great.

Both solid-jawed fighters. I think Mosley would win via UD. Clottey shells up like Winky but won't have the southpaw angles or power that Winky brought. Clottey's not active enough. I think he'd have to consistantly stick the jab out to minimize Mosley's flury because if he has to rely on his uppercut, then that would just mean Shane is already close enough that he's racking up crowd-pleasing power shots. A long night for Clottey.

Mosley by decision or late TKO. Don't get me wrong I did score Cotto-Clottey in favor of Clottey, but do you honestly believe that he would have won without using his head? Other than the UFC technique Cotto did to steal round 6, he was backpedalling for a majority of the fight after the clash of heads. He couldn't fight the way he wanted to. Mosley not only has power, but he has speed and will not try to punch Clottey's forearms for 12 rounds. He'll be attacking his body and trying to find ways to break through his shell. The problem with Clottey is that he can't mix up his offense and defense. Either he's doing one or he's doing the other. I think the members of this forum overrate him because he beat Cotto. Before that fight, what did he really do? Struggle with a middle aged Chico? The one time he actually attacked a fighter was against Margo and he gased out after like 4 rounds and covered up afterwards while Margo set a compu box record on him. With two eyes Cotto would dominate him, Mayweather would box circles around him to a 120-108 decision, Mosley would dominate him and Pacquiao is probably going to TKO him. I like the guy. He has potential, but he just can't mix it up and that's not gonna work against top level opposition.
