I think I gave the fight to Cotto 6:6 or 7:5 with the knockdown.
I think when it comes to scoring fights people have a tendency to merge all 12 rounds into one. You can ultimately lose the fight but technically win.
How clearly you win the round doesn't matter ( within the 10-9 realm) it's whether you win it or not even if you just win the round it is in the end equal to someone clearly winning the round.
I had Clottey by 2 or 3 points.....Clottey clearly won that fight!!....I give props to Cotto for biting down with that nasty cut over his eye, but Joshua won that one!! :boxing:
I had it 114-113 for Cotto. There were a few rounds that an argument could be made for each fighter so I don't have any problem with anyone scoring it for Clottey.
no i thought cotto won a close fight. but i felt if clotty was more agressive he could have won maybe even stop cotto. your biggest fights and you like let it slip
Be Honest guys, who do you guys really think won that fight ?
In my eye; Clottey won
I mean regardless, Cotto won. The outcome is never going to change, so why even ask the question.
Nah, Clottey lost that fight because he stopped his aggression, he let Cotto steals rounds, he just simply lacks of courage. Cotto was spent, totally out of gas and bothered by that big cut but he never stopped trying while Clottey acted like he was pacing himself. The fight could've gone either way but Clottey's lack of will and courage turned him down in the judges eyes.
BINGO.... cotto stole rounds with courage and determination while clottey was on cruise control. I was in the building that night and after the 12th bell rang I said point blank the knockdown won cotto that fight and it did. Also, like steward said on the broadcast goodluck beating cotto in the garden not winning the championship rounds and getting knockedown. Cotto won end of story
i think clottey lost cause he got knocked down by a jab and didn't win the championship roundsj because he wasn't busy enough.
couldnt said it any better

so if someone disagrees with you, then you automatically jump to crazy accusations to make them seem stupid. Just like a pac fan. The funny thing is I bet I could have asked you who won the clottey-cotto fight BEFORE pacquiao signed to fight clottey and you would have never questioned that cotto won. but if you say that now, it makes pac look like an idiot for picking a guy that got beat by someone he just destroyed. so you have to say clottey won right? so pacquiao stays cool.
what the f*ck are you talking about ? lol I have expressed how I felt about that fight from the moment it happened.
yeah so did Froch against Direll right?, Ok I see you're one of those guys, never mind.
