Damn fukking Pactards dont understand the difference between boxing skills and natural ability(skills).
Pacquiao have natural abilities, his speed, power, agility ect, ect. Like RJJ
Guys like Calderon, Floyd, Hop, the K bros, have boxin skills. Meanin, boxing basics, like jabing, counterpunching, outthinking your opponent, ect, ect, ect
there is such thing as a skilled offensive boxing. roach has turned pacquiao into a very skilled and versatile offensive minded fighter. he's not a face first, straight line brawler anymore.
Im anxious to see these. I'll Start. Remeber JUST skills not resume or nothing like that.
1. Mayweather

For basic
Sugar Ray Leonard
Muhammad Ali
Pernell Whittaker
Roy Jones jr.
Bernard Hopkins
Serious question...........
why is Chad Dawsons name not appearing ona anyones lists??????
surely with his skill set he can crack top 5................
So what is the difference between RJJ and lets say, Ray Lewis at 28 years old in the boxing world. Would ray lewis hav ehte same record as RJJ in boxing? Apparently to some they have the same skillset and relied just on natural ability.
And...jsut because RJJ didnt box from a textbook, doesnt mean he was skilled. Fighting is natural, and instinct. Its not 1 way defined from some book or a few coaches. Just because RJJ and Ali didnt follow the book doesnt mean they should be looked as less skilled. RJJ used his physicality to his advantage and it should be counted as a knock against him.
Theres a reason RJJ and BHOP are around the same age, from the same generation of boxers but ones boxing fourtanes have been on a steady decline while the other is preforming consistently.
From 30-40,Your body will slow down and your reflexes will fade.
But you wont forget the skills youve been using since you were a kid.
Thats why Bhop could proably box 3-4 more years and RJJ shouldve retired 3-4 years ago.
Larry Holmes, Heavyweight Champion:
I wish I could see Mayweather and Pacquiao fight, but what they're (Floyd's camp) doing right now is hurting boxing because people want to see the fight... They're trying to bring up stuff that is taking away from the fight with drug tests and accusations... I don't get it."
Joe Goosen, Legendary Boxing Trainer:
"I just think Pacquiao is a juggernaut right now... and I would just say that maybe that's the reason (Floyd's) throwing up all these smokescreens and roadblocks because he (Floyd) doesn't wanna get in the ring with him (Pac)... (Floyd) should just say yes to the fight, forget all the testing, this guy's (Pac) not on drugs. There's a little air there in all this that's just not right.
Al Bernstein, Showtime Boxing Analyst:
“It seems patently obvious to me that Floyd and his minions killed the Pacquiao fight. The bottom line is that the fight was basically a done deal before they decided to inject the demands for blood testing into the picture. Pure and simple, Golden Boy and Floyd and his advisers created the problem, and it ended up killing the fight.”
Dan Rafael from ESPN:
"Mayweather shouldn't be making accusations without a shred of proof as he tries to discredit all of Pacquiao's great accomplishments, nor should he try to circumvent the Nevada rules by asking for blood tests when the commission has never asked for them."
Thomas Hauser, HBO.com:
"There were times during the past month when the conduct of Team Mayweather had the look of an effort to sabotage the fight. A negotiator who wants to make a deal doesn’t go out of his way to antagonize and publicly embarrass the other side. But that’s what the Mayweathers and Golden Boy did."
Jim Strickland, David Diaz's Trainer/retired licensed pharmacist:
“I don’t see any reason of accusing Manny of using illegal drugs in our fight.”
Timothy Bradley, WBO/WBC Jr. Welterweight Champion:
"I don't think Manny is on anything. He's just on top of his game right now."
James Toney, Multi division Champion:
"Who is Mayweather to ask for the tests? Why didn’t he ask Marquez? Manny’s not on 'roids."
Mike Silver, noted Boxing Historian:
"I think it fell apart because basically Mayweather never wanted to fight Pacquiao. He wants to continue and fight guys he can beat and fool the public.
Roy Jones, Jr.:
"Hell naw. Why change the rules on me? Because I'm coming up in weight means I'm doing steroids? They're giving you a test for that anyway. It would be something that would aggravate me because then after I beat you, I was on something, don't play with me. Either you want to fight or you don't want to fight."
Question: What does Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Sugar Ray Leonard, Joshua Clottey, George Foreman, Roberto Duran, Michael Moorer, Timothy Bradley, Chad Dawson, Winky Wright, Joe Goosen, Jose Luis Castillo, Juanma Lopez, Joe Calzaghe, most boxing trainers and pundits in the sport, not to mention the Boxing Writers Assoc of America and the Ring Magazine have in common ???
Answer: They all agree on who the # 1 P4P fighter in the world is!
This is ridiculous, Stop posting that in every single f**king thread. Of course he's the #1 P4P Boxer, But real talk here, He's not the most SKILLED boxer. In my list I have him as #4, But his power and speed make up for the lack in other areas.
He fought Cotto who fits that build. Cotto has tons of boxing skills etc...its just when guys brawl with him and force him to go back...he folds.
Cotto can box but hes no Marquez by any stretch of the imagination. JMM Is without a doubt one of the 10 Most sklled boxders in the Sport Cotto wouldnt crack a Top 25 List. Cotto was gassed in the 4th round. He wasnt the same Cotto we knew pre-Marg. He boxed beautifully in the first round. Then in the second round he got tagged. Then just like that he was hesitant the rest of the fight. Old Cotto can get dropped, stunned, rocked and get up and fight. Marg beat that fight out of him. He changed him. He also didnt have a corner or any instruction or strategy to speak off. Roach even mentioned that.
If Pac is the real deal there is a guy daring him to prove it. His name is Floyd.
I think hes means its hard to say how good Pac is because the last time he fought an elite skill level guy he arguably lost. I cant speak for him I just took a stab at it. If he is as good as you and Jro say he better beat the hell out of Floyd.

Not reallly....what is it suppose to tell me?

you cant prove this until they fight again. until the fight, we have to go by what we saw. pac has not fought one boxer since that fight. that tells u something doesnt it?
Not reallly....what is it suppose to tell me?
hahahaha......im amazed with how u people arrange ur lists.....BULLSHIT.....
if pac was american...damn...
am english you idiot it pains me that the best are american haha
Pacquiao is more skilled than the guy who outboxed him? good to know
Some times I really question the level of intelligence (and reading comprehension skills) on here. I said:
1.Marquez was the more skilled guy back then.
2. Pacquiao has improved a lot and is more skilled than Marquez now
3. This is the reason I don't wanna see a third fight because Pac gets him out within 5 rounds
I don't know what fight you were watching but I had pac up 115-113. Even if you were in favor of Marquez....everyone knows that was a close fight....so how the tell did marquez "outbox" him.
