think anyone ever will?? i think its unlikely because of how much boxing has changed. firstly alot of great fighters had so many fights because they needed to pay the bills, also it takes so much longer for fights to get made now. Robinson sometimes fought twice in like 3 weeks
Heres a few who reached 100 bouts (some had alot more)
Sugar Ray Robinson: 200
Archie Moore: 220
Roberto Duran: 119
Julio Chavez: 115
just a few from the top of my head, theres a lot more. Correct me if im wrong but i think Chavez was the last guy to reach 100 fights retiring in 2005. Hopkins is at 58 (59 inc Roy Jones) but he'll never make 100. Wlad is on 56, which is good but most modern day Boxers will unlikely have even 50 fights under their belt by the time they call it a day. Is it even possible to do now lol ? ?
Saul Alvarez will be an elite fighter. He is only 19 and has 30 fights. Also he fights 7-8 times a year and actually has a fight in March then another in May. So I can Mosdef see him as a 100 plus fighter.
i agree he could have 100 fights but its not set in stone that he will be an elite fighter. and right now he is fighting chumps that is the only reason he is fighting every other month. if he were fighting good guys he would be in the ring 3 or 4 times max. he would have a better chance at 100 if he were to not become an elite fighter. no elite fighter gets in the ring more than 3 times a year in this day and age.
I can't see it happening. State Commissions actually suspend boxers now-a-days, if they take too much damage in a fight. So if you think about it, alot of guys may only get 20 fights in a decade.
Where back in SRR's day, he could fight every saturday and monday until he retied.
Tavoris Cloud will most likely reach 100.
hardyharhar. But in all serious. No elite fighter ever will. I doubt Saul Alvarez would. As soon as he gets bigger fights and keeps winning he wont stay busy.

nah i doubt it....we dont have fighters like that in the buisness anymore..
The GREAT Chavez Jr will do it.
That was my first thought. Julio Jr. will do it on PPV and several fights after his 100th he might even meet his first contender!

no this is not possible in this era
it's doubtful that there's ever going to be another elite fighter with over 100 fights

Buck Smith has had over 200 fights and he last fought in 2009.

JOurney men can reach 100 + fights but it will be rare to see an elite fighter do that
thanks for correcting me dude

someone like a Saul Alvarez might. That kid has 30 plus fights and is only 19 years old. he has a fight in march then another fight lined up in May. I truly see him fighting 7-9 times a year (he already does this BTW) under golden boy and them nickle'ing and dime'ing the his fan base like Top Rank does with Chavez Jr.
