Chavez Drops De La Hoya (Sparring)

Oscar really is better then JCC head to head it seems. Even at 17 he was much more skilled. Julio Chavez was nothing but an over hyped YORY BOY CAMPAS, he was slow, flat footed and had limited skills. De la hoya was GREEN when he gave Chavez that beat down and would have gotten him out earlier in de la hoya's prime.

From what I have seen, JCC didn't take it too hard on Oscar. From the clips of his fights, he had underrated defensive skills and would fight you like a bull. exactly its a sparring match. Chavez was obviously holding back. Chavez > oscar

Oscar wrote about this in his book. He ws like 16 or 17, pre-olympics. JCC ain't want oscar to wear the regular sized gloves. JCC also sparred with Shane Mosley too. yeah, mosley clowned him too......people were calling him "Taylor" :rofl:.....

thats why de la hoya beat the hell out of Chavez when they fought, he remember being dropped. I think even then De La Hoya could have stolen rounds from Chavez in a real fight, he just didn't have the strength at 16 to hold Chavez off. Chavez would probably stop him in the 6 or 7th round be would be losing on score-cards.

Yeah, im sure you conviniently forgot they made Oscar wear 18oz gloves for that sparring session while Chavez wore 12oz. Also Oscar was only 16 or 17 still an amateur yet facing the Mexican legend. I didn't conveniently forget anything asshole. I'm just posting some of my videos from youtube.
