all the pactards are quick to discredit mosley and say that he is "coming off a long layoff"
but its funny how they fail to mention how clottey himself is actually coming off a long layoff as well.
his last fight was against cotto on june 13th, 2009. that means by the time he steps in the ring with pac, it will have been exactly NINE months since his last fight. that qualifies as a long layoff. 9 months is a long time, a baby can be born in that time!
mosleys last fight was on jan 24th, 2009 and his next fight is on may 1st. thats also a long lay off, but its not as bad as you think. mosley was TRAINING for a fight on january 30th, and now will get to train AGAIN for his may 1st fight against floyd mayweather. thats TWO training camps. mosley will not be any more rusty than clottey (who has only had 1 training camp since his last fight) will be.
stop discrediting mosley by saying he well have "ring rust"! clottey will have just as much ring rust, if not MORE, going into his upcoming fight!
another contradicting, double standard from the pactards! they take after their leader!
mayweather will run, and evade. i don't see shane winning at all.
Thats pretty much how this fight gonna be all night, it will be another boring non stop shoulder role, running backwards. The only reason Mosley gonna lose is he will be bored to death fighting Flyod. Like all of Flyod opponents. lol
That is the whole stigma about Floyd being a cherrypicker and a fraud is that he is fighting somebody who doesn't have a shot. A handpicked opponent.
Again like Pac-Clottey. Floyd fans don't want to give Pac credit cuz he is fighting a handpicked opponent who has zero shot in beating Pac...
There is also Floyd fans believe it or not that don't give Shane a chance in beating Floyd. Which is weird if you think about it? Because....
If fighter A is fighting fighter B, and fighter B has zero chance in beating fighter A, then that is cherrypicking and deserve zero credit IMO. But, Floyd fans would say fighter B has zero chance to beat Floyd and then when/if Floyd wins they want to act like it is a great win... When all he did was beat somebody who had zero chance of winning. That is not a good win, that is cherrypicking. So a lot of Floyd fans logic is off based IMO.
But, me personally I give both Clottey and Shane a chance to win the fight. I give Shane a better chance then Clottey. But, both have a chance. I think Floyd and Pac will win. And, both will get credit from me.
me too.......Clottey will be harder for Pac than Cotto IMO.......but Shane is the most difficult task at 147 for either Pac or Floyd barring a fight with each other IMHO.......
Alot of pac fans are giving Shane no shot in this fight at all........do you think that is strange considering they hold Floyd in such low esteem as a cherry picker and fraud???

Is there a possibility that Shane might over trained? Since this is damn near his 2nd training camp in a row.

Personally i give SSM a vwery good shot....if Floyd brings the same game that he did for JMM he will get a big shock.....
there is a possiblity an asteroid may hit the earth t/m aswell........see where i'm going with this?.........we simply don't know.......if that possiblity exists for shane then surely it does for Floyd also........
there really should be no excuses from both men......
They have both been fighting for over 15 years and know what they have to do to prepare correctly....
Shane always trains anyway....even when he does not have a fight lined up he spars with any1 who wants to in big bear......and Floyd is far to vain not to keep himself in shape.......
:werd:..........

layoffs for floyd and shane are irrelevant........they are both gym rats and have both been laid off a long time..........long layoffs are more of an issue for young up and coming fighters......
it should be non-issue
and FYI to the poster of this thread.....9 months......not that long in boxing terms

Very true, you're making a great point... And, it should be brought up you right...
Can I just ask a few questions.... And, they might be irrelavant questions. But, I will ask anyways.
Is this Clottey longest layoff of his career?
Is this Shane longest layoff of his career?
And, who is coming off the longer layoff?
