DAVID HAYE admits he must stop John Ruiz on April 3 if he is to be seen as the new star of the heavyweight division.
‘The Hayemaker’ is looking for his 22nd KO victim in his 25th fight when he meets American Ruiz in the first defence of his WBA world heavyweight title at the MEN Arena in Manchester.

Good stuff Dave, hopefully David stops him late, like in the 11th after battering Ruiz for the entire fight, and dropping him multiple times!
Heavyweights almost never get dropped more than once.
Haye has to make these idiotic statements because hes so lazy and inactive,if he didnt run his mouth people would forget about him :lol1:
I don't believe a truer statement could be made. Good job!
Yeah because Ruiz has been dropped so many times.
Get freaking real.
After the fight, come apologize. If you don't, you're in the same boat as Haye.
:lol1:
Who do you think you are? 'Come apologise' - what the ****? The man stated what he wanted to happen. It wasn't even a prediction (which he wouldn't have to apologise for either). Haye is the type of fighter that attracts big fans and big haters and you sir are one of the latter.
People complain because he talked shit about Valuev all the way up to the fight, saying he would knock him out, etc, then the guy ran the whole time. He also said he hurt his hand in round 2 which is why he ran the whole time, yet round 1-12 looked identical.
If you run from the lightest punching champion we have, whatcha gonna do when you face a real puncher?
Oh yeah, he's not going to face a real puncher because he keeps backing out of those fights.
At cruiserweight he faced hard punchers like Mormeck but i agree he hasnt faced any big punchers at heavyweight, I dont know if Haye hurt his hand but when he was on all the talk shows over here he had it all taped up, but im cool i dont take all the talk serious at all really.
Haye needs to knock Ruiz out or beat him easy if he is to consider him self any where near the Klits level, on a side note i have only seen 2 bad Haye fights his whole career so i dont know why some people complain.

Oh wow, another joke press release by Haye about how he's going to "beat this guy to a pulp" and "knock out this ugly guy" and then of course he's going to run the whole night or break his Setanta like he did before he backed out of the Wlad fight.
Hopefully he just backs out of this fight rather than run the whole night, or maybe Ruiz will just TKO him.
Either way, I see Ruiz being the live underdog and beating this clown.
You only came in this thread to HATE on the guy? Styles makes fight kid. Haye doesnt fight like Vitali.
Yup, styles make fights and Vitali's style smashes both Haye and Valuev.I'm just commenting on something Haye said in the article.
BTW you seem to be in most Klitschko threads hating, so how hypocritical of you to call me out.
Of course the Valuev win wasn't that good, that's going to be obvious when Vitali beats him to a pulp.

This is a very interesting matchup. Ruiz is in the position of "a last hurrah" and Haye is eager to make his first defence. I expect Haye to score a stoppage but Ruiz has never been one to count out before a fight.
