I have a UD or stoppage too. Corner, ref, doctor or Shane quits.
If Floyd can't ko a featherweight like Marquez,he ain't knocking out Shane.
In hell,it ain't happening. And I'm not buying all that "Floyd beat Shane easy".
At best he won 8 rounds.
Mosley vs. Mayweather
I see Floyd starting off with a jab to the body an head over and over because Shanes weakness is a goodjab and hes not skilled enouh to time them. Dont believe me watch the Cotto fight. Cottos jab owned Mosley and kept him at bay and uncomfortable. Floyd does not lead with his jab alot but against Shane as WE ALL KNOW Shane struggles with jabs and Mayweather has a good one.
I see Shane getting hit with that jab to the stomach and getting circled Constantly by Floyd who will not stop moving in this fight. Floyd has the footspeed to dart in and out on Shane and get off punches. I see shane having to sell out to get again and thats when I see him him tryng to bull rush Floyd on the insde during the clinches alot.
Mayweather Like I said will make himself a damn near immpossible target to hit by his constant circling and movement. After a few arounds Floyds lead right will start to connect and along with a jab that is the punch that Shane has no defense for. I tink the handspeed edge goes to Mayweather IMO. Shane is fast but I believe in the Cotto fight...Cotto was as fast or faster.
Mayweather will be circling, pot shotting darting in and out and using the shoulder roll which basically gives righties a slim chance to land anything big. Shane will have his moments but they will be few and far between I see him throwing and the crowd cheering but they wont be landing effectively. Shane is a very wide puncher when he wants to be and after he realizes hes down on the cards hell look for ONE shot and then my friends thats where this fight wil get UGLY for Shane, because Floyd will tag his ass non stop and might even drop Shane a few times. No not because of power but because Floyds accuracy, speed, shanes aggresiveness, his wild swinging and the fact that he punches with his eye close. The punches that hurt are the ones you dont see and they can pout you on your ass.
In the ring I think Shane will be looking for that ONE punch that never happens as Floyd turns his face to a pinata.
Mayweather UD or late corner or ref stoppage.
Let's say Mayweather does spend the whole night running. He's not so fast Mosley will never get near him, Ricky Hatton could get near him and he isn't half the athlete Mosley is. Also, Mayweather would have to land a lot more punches than he normally does to do the kind of damage you are describing and if he is constantly moving and dancing, he won't be throwing those punches. In the Cotto fight, he used great timing on a reckless Mosley, he wasn't faster. Also, comparing Cotto's jab to Mayweather's is off, Cotto had real force behind that jab which Mayweather simply doesn't possess.
You can talk about speed behind the punches and not seeing them but you still have to have something behind those punches and Mayweather does not generate enough force to drop someone like Mosley, who has taken harder punches from bigger punchers than anything Mayweather can bring, whether Mosley sees it or not. Do you think Mosley is no more a threat than Carlos Baldomir or JMM? That's the only way Mayweather just dances around and peppers Mosley at will to the point he can actually stop him. Nothing in Mayweather's career from 140 on suggests he can do that to a fighter of Mosley's caliber.
You don't predict KOs or TKOs because "shit happens."
How, stylistically and physically, can Floyd Mayweather stop Shane Mosley?

This is boxing. Shit happens.

Manny Pacquiao is a high volume puncher with very good power and great speed.
Tell me how Floyd Mayweather Jr., with brittle hands, who throws very few combinations, and doesn't usually engage, is going to stop Shane Mosley, who has NEVER been stopped, and has one of the best chins in the business. Are you telling me Floyd Mayweather is going to fight like Manny Pacquiao and stop Shane Mosley?
It's utterly ridiculous.

did anyone think Manny would stop Oscar?

Agree/Disagree and why?
I think Mayweather will toy with Suga for the 1st couple rounds then will whoop his ass and win by TKO late...:boxing:
2nd ridiculous thread on the exact same thing I've seen from this buffoon today. Please drink that Drano mate. You make good Floyd fans look bad.
Mayweather is NOT, SIMPLY NOT, going to stop Shane Mosley. There is absolutely no basis in anything that has happened in either's career to believe Floyd can stop Shane Mosley.
Dont own him like that sin!!!
What does that prove?
The point is that it's not out of this world to believe Mosley can't be stopped.
Then saying Mosley has no chance against Flyod is hypocritical (not you personally).
I only have 3k points but I would bet them all that Mosley wont get KO'd, and if anyone is confident that he will you give ME good odds.
Agree. I thought Mayweather could've put him away early but decided to get some sparring in and give the people a boxing clinic.
yeah right. a clinic for those suffering from insomnia.
floyd made the fans to sleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
i don't know that he's lying (you don't know that he's lying) and i'm not against him enough to even care. for all i know he blindly trusted a doctor about drugs that were in a temporary grey area- theres alot of juiced up pro athletes out there and some of them get away with it while others dont.
i'd imagine the technology to develop and synthesize new physical enhancement formulas is growing just as fats as everything else out there, there's probably some new juice already out now that won't get caught for another year or 2 maybe? i don't think anything is impossible.
or maybe shane is a liar whose been trying to save face all this time.
either way the man has laid it all out in the ring. won, lost, knocked people out, and has not been stopped or lost his pride in defeat.
that kind of human strength is what i like to see unveiled through the rigors of this sport (which i do not particpate in like some on here, im purely a fan of the drama and the athletic abilities showcased).
he's taken the toughest fights available up into his late 30's and has given up more of himself in more entertaining fights. i have always liked to watch and apreciated floyd's skills but this is boxing. and the risk takers deserve the credit.
and as a fan of his you're OK with him lying to YOU as a fan an, the media, and everyone else when everytime he goes on camera and says it was flaxseed oil and he had no idea what he was taking?
If he came out and admitted to what he did and apologized, like Jason Giambi, I would have said ok shane, you're a great boxer and made a mistake in your life. All if forgotten. But his lies is unacceptable and the only reason he gets away with it is of his good guy image.

kudos to the comment about shane contributing more to the sport and giving the fans more respect, because that couldn't be any more evident or true given his fights over the years.
Shane has taken steroids and EPO, cheated, and continues to lie to this very day about his steroid usage. He has offered no apology or even admits to his wrong doings.
Shane has not contributed more to the sport of boxing than Mayweather.

comparing shane to gatti continues to blow my mind. gatti was never p4p or even a-list, he was very popular and entertaining, a true warrior who made bank because of it. but if you think mayweather will outclass shane you haven't watched enough mosley fights (OR mayweather fights for that matter).
mosley and gatti are similar in their mindset but you better believe if they had ever fought shane would have put him to sleep, not just torture him to a stoppage. there's a difference in the way shane ko's and floyd ko's. floyd's are always accumulation and he typically only gets the tko's on smaller men. the only examples that go against that i can think of are diego corrales but 135 was a different world for floyd. and as far as gatti, like i said gatti was never considered world class even in his prime. same as mickey ward- they made each other famous.
at 147 he pretty much just outboxes and hopes his hands dont break. if shane wins i promise you floyd will say he broke both of his hands or something to that effect.
Mosley isn't getting stopped in any reality, including Flomo reality.
So put up or shut up.
You do know that betting has to do with ODDS right?
The odds are he won't knock or stop Mosley out, but it's still a legitimate possibility.
