Mayweather has been a Top 10 p4p Since 1998.

Pac didn't crack the list until 2003 and he was under Floyd, His whole stay on the list until Floyd retired. 1998- #8 1999- #2 2000- #7 2001- #5 2002- #8 2003- #5.......Pac was Number 6. 2004- #2.......Pac was Number 5. 2005- #1.......Pac was Number 5. 2006- #1.......Pac was Number 2. 2007- #1.......Pac was Number 2. 2008- Floyd RETIRED.....Pac was # 1. 2009- #2...................Pac was Number 1. Floyd has been one of the Ten Best fighters in the world for 11 years. He was on the list 5 times in a row before Pac was even close. Also when Pac moved up 2 weight classes. The two Number 1 guys at Bantam and Jr. Bantam were Tim Austin and Mark Johnson two of the slickest boxers around at that time. Interesting.........

IM just stating the facts, forget winning titles.. Roy Jones was the most dominant of his time bar none, PERIOD! And Manny really didn't pick up the pace until 2005, when Floyd and Roy Jones had been dominating. youre facts are wrong tho.....roy had his dominace in the prior decade......in the last decade pac has won 3 out of 10 fighter of the year compared to floyd's one.....so it aint really debatable who should win the fighter of the decade award....the right man won....

Floyd only has 1 fighter of the year for the 2000 decade, Pacquiao has 3. Thats because Bob Arum has been paying Magazines and etc to hype him up

wrong..for the past decade floyd has only won fighter of the year once( all his carreer), compared to roy's zero....compared to pac's 3...pac was the most dominant of the last whole decade bar none IM just stating the facts, forget winning titles.. And no Mayweather shouldn't have fought Margarito, well he should have, but it's a good thing he didnt, we don't know how many legit victories Margarito has, we don't even know if he beat Cotto or Martinez fair.

thats why he was always been overrated to me..... they put him on the p4p list without a single good win?....thats ridiculous.....andsince then, floyd has only won figher of the year once...shows you he was never dominant in the whole boxing (as he likes to claim) compared to other fighters.....

I'm not denying the mans skills or ability though. But you need to fight to keep a ranking They took him off the list in the past. When he beat JMM he went back to number 2 in the sport. Im expecting a fight announcement soon.

Im saying how can he not be considered an ATG when hes been one of the consensus Top 8 P4P fighters in all of the sport for 12 years out of the 14 hes been fighting. I mean look now Pacs career is dropping off and Martinez's is getting better. See what I did there?

Anyway, To jpunieves I made this thread because I was interested to see how long Floyd has been a Top 10 P4P fighter. After may 1st, he should be taken off the list due to inactivity. Last I checked, you have to actually fight to stay on... I.e. Sergio Martinez or any other fighter ranked in the top ten not named Floyd mayweather.

Anyway, To jpunieves I made this thread because I was interested to see how long Floyd has been a Top 10 P4P fighter. One of the benefits of being undefeated is the entitlement it gives you to stay on a boxing magazines P4P list They couldn't really drop him if he hadn't lost, it seems.
