Seriously... I hate to say these but IMO I think you are wasting the talents of these Filipnio prospects... feeding them to the lions... why rush things up? why don't have it one step at a time...
Look...
Ciso Morales vs Montiel... 1 round... I think Morales terribly had problems in making weight..
Sonsona... Jumps two divisions then goes for the world champions immedeately??? Wow...
Whos next?
Johnriel Casimero? I think he is also trained by Donaire Sr. pitting him againts Calderon?
man...
No question... I'm sure there are lots of Filipino potentials they just need better trainers, promoters and conditioners...
I think Bernabe Conception and Mercisto Gesta are decent example of boxers who has better management and training... both belongs to MP (Manny pacquiao promotion)
For ALA... you guys need better conditioning... I think your boxers only last until ten rounds or earlier... example is AJ Banal he is winning in the cards but suddenly got KOed... but this gym have lots of prospects... I think Jason Pagara is one of them... only 17 years old...
I hope Pacquiao's camp will help these Filipnio boxers...
In thisd kind of situation I appreciate the style of Bob Arum in making matches not rushing his boxers...
look at the next world title matches for pinoys most of them are below 15-0.
Casimero (14-0, interim champion) vs Calderon (in the making)
Bangoyan (15-0) vs Nishioka
and these boxers are still young...
so disappointed sorry...
I agree. I think Gello-ani is greedy trying to cash in for a quick buck. Gello-ani always tries to rush young fighters. I don't think it's Donaire Sr.'s fault for taking in fighters and trying his best to prepare these young underdogs. I think Donaire Sr. is a decent but flawed trainer that needs to improve his methods. Seems like these young fighters and Donaire Sr. are learning together.
The Philippines doesn't have world class gyms and trainers yet, so Filipinos are at a huge disadvantage having to travel to the USA for proper training and nutrition. The closest one is ALA gym and its trainers have a ways to go. The minute Filipinos step foot on foreign soil and receive proper training, their overwhelmed by more polished experienced fighters.
I just hope one day the Philippines will finally develop great gyms and trainers.
That is where Manny Pacquiao can help I beleive ... I think he is doing it now but I beleive he should do more... He should use this at the advantages of these Pinoy boxers...
