The Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation won't be drug testing the boxers before and after their bout, a spokesman told the Daily News
Most state commissions have boxers submit to only urine tests before and after a fight. The Texas agency doesn't even do that. Its executive director, William Kuntz, can order a drug screen for boxers if there is "good cause." But Susan Stanford, a public information officer for the department, doesn't envision that happening for this fight, even though Pacquiao has come under increased scrutiny of late over the issue of performance-enhancing drugs. "At the present time, no drug testing will be required of the boxers," she told The News Thursday. "We don't see rumors as good cause. There is a medical examination before the fight, but that doesn't include drug testing."
Arum said he chose to stage the fight in Texas for the amenities, not the lack of drug testing. "I always assumed (that Texas) did drug testing, but I know for sure that the WBO insists on that," Arum said in a phone interview. "The reason the fight is in Texas is because it's in Cowboys Stadium, not because of the (lack of) drug testing."

So Im assuming that was the physical last week that Texas did if So the Philippine news had it wrong about it also being Tested for PED's.
The WBO will do one urine test after the fight though.
here's some clarification.
Dan Rafael
"The tweets riled some people up. Just got call from Margarito attorney, who divulged the drug test results: Margs clean for everything."

Pacquiao fights most of his fights in Nevada. After the drug testing issue is brought up, he immediately runs to Texas.
Yeah, OK.
its because it ran its stupid course...typical Flomos...got all excited over nothing
you wanna know why that whole thread was funny?
people started throwing 'peds this peds that' when in reality, and they themselves know this: Texas does NOT test for PEDS
they'll run tests for their own banned substance list ie. ephedra, diuretics etc
Well, i'm not an expert. But it was an entertaining thread while it last.

:puppy_dog Team Pacquiao do not like drug test do they
And it befuddles me when people say that Mayweather is trying to be bigger than the sport because of this. If my favorite fighter is being accused of using PEDs, I would have wanted him to take the test and prove everyone wrong.
Exactly fam.
Its quite sad that people are happy that a world class athlete is refusing more stringent drug testing just so he can say "i do things my way, screw you" to another world class athlete.

You don't get it do you!?!

Everyone in here saying everyone should be tested is obviously stupid and can't read. The bottom line is MAYWEATHER DOESN'T MAKE THE RULES. END OF THREAD \

Pacquiao is clearly on steroids. Fortunately, 75% of the American public, if put on the spot, would say that Manny is on steroids. So, at least it's not a secret in my country.
Clearly you don't know what the **** you're talking about, and your opinion means ABSOLUTELY SHIT.
INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY AND THE MAN HAS PASSED EVERY TEST SO SIT DOWN, AND SHUT UP.

Its amazing reading a fan of any sport who seem to be supporting or making excuses on why an athlete who is at the top of his sport would refuse testing, The excuses makes it unbearable to even read....WWE
Are you honestly justifying someone KNOWING when theyll be tested for something in a sport? I swear, and i fukkin mean this, this is literally the only time in my life where i have seen a collective group of people satisfied with the lack of drug testing in a sport.
People in here are applauding the LACK of drug testing for this fight like "yea they arent scared!!"
Thats so stupid. This is all about floyd mayweather and thats fukking it. And you people, including yourself, are basically appluading it like "OMG IT INTERFERES WITH HIS TRAINING"
Yet at the same time, nearly every major sport has some type of random testing on some level, all i hear in these posts are excuses.
Im serious, this is the only time in my life i have ever encountered people applauding the lack of testing for a sport.
I think there is no point in even discussing it anymore. Some of you are daft, so dense that there is no point in even trying to form a logical complaint, or reasoning, as to why drug testing is important. Instead some of you listen to team pacquiaos bullshit like
"it interferes with training"
"too much blood"
"we dont like the cutoff date"
Honestly have you even taken the time to read all of my comments instead of selecting one and just flaming. I have been consistented in saying from the day this Sh!t popped off that it needs to be taken to the commissions, sactioning bodies and the promotional companies. I want the sport cleaned up as much as anyone which is why I feel Floyd is full of sh!t. Everyone knows what the commission says goes...so why not take it to them? They are the only one that has the power to clean the sport up.
Let's say Manny does accept the test demands, him and Floyd fight then what? It's only two fighters and one bout, when it should be the whole sport and it's testing procedures that gets and overhaul. Until then, Why should I care when people talk about change, have the ability to push for it, yet pu$$y foot around the situation. If anyone cares about PED's, put the pressure on the comissions and push for a change. If not....shut the fukk up
