Give Eubanks a break, that video was against a southpaw. There's a reason why boxers in general don't like fighting southpaws. A great fighter can be made to look like sh*t against a good southpaw.
what about when he fights an 0-5 southpaw? i don't think great fighters would look like shit against them but then again eubank is hardly a great fighter.
Eubank vs. James Canty?

I wouldnt go that fight but out of all the smw of that time I think Eubank, Nunn and Liles woild of given Jones a hard time
Not sure about Liles giving Jones a hard time.

Well Put. He prob never even saw Eubank fight
i'm sorry i have insulted your hero. who's more reasonable here. the guy who thinks juan carlos giminez ferrari is a good fighter or me? i guess in the uk the 0-5 canty wouldn't be a below average fighter but probably a national champion.
What fights do you have in mind? I remember thinking he should of lost Benn II and Watson I. On the other side I think he should of won Thompson I
Very good. He was robbed against Steve Collins. He had a very very good right hand that scored him a lot of KD's/KO's, but his right hand was always suspect to break. He held his own against lb4lb king Toney, and against lb4lb king Jones he had come out of a retirement and his shoulder went when against the ropes but he still managed to miss being hit clean by almost all of the 40-punch flurry Jones let off...
Good tight defense, closed the distance down and let off sneaky rights. Solid chin. Good technician.
Beat me to it! Couldn't have said it better. He wasn't a spectacular fighter, but a good tactician, very durable, I think that Thornton-Eubank fight was in Glasgow, it was a poor decision.
I havent seen much of Thornton, in your opinion was he any good?

Well, Giminez did KD Duran in a cracker in the heat and went 12 against Benn!
Essett boxed uninterested against Eubank but had very good pedigree going in and had reputation as a very very good chess-playing boxer (we didn't see this evidence mind you! ..Eubank also boxed shit that evening in the heat).

Tony Thornton. Toney soon after completely mastered him (TT), Roy Jones knocked him out too.
And the below-average fighters were whom exactly?
Malinga, Essett, Thornton, Giminez, Holmes - all former/future champions of some kinds and challenged well for the other world titles against the best.

if you count essett and giminez as good opposition then there is our difference. gary lockett looks like sugar ray leonard compared to those guys. look at giminez's record. he fought absolute bums in paraguay his entire career and everytime he stepped up he was dominated. he beat no one notable his entire career. a complete patsy if there ever was one.
guys like dan schommer, amaral costa, sam storey, ray close, dan sherry, giminez. a world champion should not be fighting guys like this and if he does fight them he shouldn't struggle so much.
Logan, Smith, Cronin, Watson I, Jarvis, Wharton, Thompson I and Thompson II were extremely good performances.
well i was only trying to count reasonable opposition. everyone looks good against bums. logan, smith, cronin weren't even title fights. jarvis is a bum. wharton was a good fighter so yea that was a nice win and he lost the watson and thompson fights so i'm not sure how good of a performance those can be.
this guy might be chris eubank or a close relative. only way he can have eubank winning every fight. the truth is eubank just wasn't that good. his only good performances were in his first fight with nigel benn, the comeback knockout over watson after being schooled and the rocchigini fight. other than that he struggled mightily with average and below average fighters.
