Mayweather-Mosley is a huuuge fight.. people will choose that fight.
Not nearly as big as Floyd-Pac, but yes, the likely choice for those who can't afford both.
Being a much bigger fan of Pacquiao than Floyd I hate to say this, but the announcment of Mosley-Mayweather took a lot of steam out of the Pac-Clottey promotion. Fans are already deciding which fight to choose from.

honestly there hasn't been much in terms of boosting this accross markets, namely mainstream pressing this event. Hardly any ESPN time save for FNF, hardly any actual commercials on TV, hardly any interviews coming out of either side save for boxing sites and major papers
I am honestly disappointed this hasn't been pushed better.
had it been I would have had no issue with stating 750-850.

There is no circumstance in the history of this world that would make Pac-Clottey a success.
Success in business is determined by how much profit is made. Unless you know what the exact expenses (including the boxer's purses), you can only guess. Literally speaking, the Latin Fury PPV shows are a success.

It will be a challenge for Top Rank to get past 500,000-600,000 buys. If Manny hadn't of already beaten Cotto, it would be much bigger. But now it comes off to the part time fan as Pacquiao fighting someone who just lost to the guy that Manny just destroyed. If they get near one million buys for this it would be major proof of Pac's drawing power.
I tell you one thing, punk ass arum is not doing well on his first foray into this major stadium thing. The undercard is total garbage. you would think he would be smarter than that if he's trying to make a big spectacle.
he's totally blowing a chance to really create a huge event.
I'm so pissed about the undercard, im considering going to a bar to watch the fight instead of purchasing it at the house, and I'm definitely a pac fan.
Then haven't sold shit out. And that's including the 20K that Jerry Jones took for himself which doesn't even count into the sales.
lol calm down...jesus its only a forum...we will find out what the ppv sales and tickets sales will be the day pac fight clottey..
Now that there won't be a 24/7 to promote the fight how well do you think it will do on PPV?
maybe from 800,000-900,000 since they sold out tickets at the stadium..
Just under a million buys. Maybe 850-950 million purchases. The world knows Pacquiao by now and HBO is doing a little 30 segment on the fight and likely, that's all it will take to get the buy numbers up a bit. The people that catch the first airing will be caught up in the whole Cowboys stadium thing and then HBO will repeat it several times before the fight. I already know 4 people personally who will be getting the fight (because I kept hyping it up to them, lol)
I was hoping there was gonna be a 24/7 series, the show in itself is very interesting to see how the fighters train and prepare for their bouts, id watch 24/7 no matter who was fighting. And i dont know what Top Rank are doing... it seems like they arent promoting this fight at all...
I am far from a Flomo or anything like that. I am sure the people at Top Rank do care alot about the numbers. The fact there is no 24/7 makes it harder to promote. If this fight bombs than it will decease the barganing chip of Top Rank if they decide to fight any opponent in the future. Remeber they even made Cotto take a 35-65 split when it was Cotto's belt on the line after they even demanded a 145 pound catchweight.
Bargaining with regards to what? If a Pac fight then there is nothing to bargain. Pacs name markets itself already especially to the casual fans as they can be assured of a very exciting heart pounding fight thus will still buy.
But if yoú're talking about other fighters, then yeah i agree with you.
Since most of you think this will affect a possible matchup with floyd, what happens then if the ppv sales generates more than a million or might exceed a floyd-ssm ppv? Do you think Pac or his camp will accede a 50-50 sharing scheme then since floydie the fraud has already announce he will not accept one?
This ppv is all bullshit to me, the only reason floyd generates great ppv buys is because most of them want to see him badly beaten and get his big mouth shut and not because he is exciting to watch him fight.
FLoydettes and flomos cares so much about ppv. This is the only argument where they can trump opponents but not all the time. They got flawed logic as well i wonder how they passed their primary education.

This stuff really gets a lot of people talking around here. I don't get why. Does it have ramifications far as Pac-PBF? Sure it does. But we know it won't outsell Shane-PBF. Why do people worry about this garbage so much?
