March 6 clash with Abraham postponed
Super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell revealed tonight to radio host Marc Lichtenfeld on his weekly “Through the Ropes” radio show that he injured his back earlier this week while sparring and will see a specialist tomorrow. Dirrell said he has previously thrown out his back and expects to be out for one week to two weeks. Nothing official as far as a new date for his scheduled March 6th SUPER SIX fight against Arthur Abraham on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING, however a media conference call scheduled for Friday was cancelled. More will be resolved Friday.

im pretty sure sumone posted it up earlier but just in case if n/e body missed it
Whenever a fighter pulls out everyone always seems to be looking for some commercially-driver reason behind it all.
How about that is is just a tough sport and sometimes guys get injured?
Anyone here think it's just a way for Showtime to move the date back, so they don't have to compete with HBO?
More than likely if it does get moved it will get moved to the same day as Kessler-Froch or Ward-Green in an attempt to really whoop HBO's ass on those dates, not to avoid them on 3/6.
I think it's pretty obvious that the Showtime card on 3/6 was gonna be much better than HBO's offering.
This is complete BS, first off, everyone who has worked in labor knows back problems are the hardest thing to prove. Even with a doctor. Why did it take him so long to reveal his injury? And if it's so bad why is only going to take 2 weeks to recover?
I wanted Andre to beat Abraham, but this to me is really obvious he want's no part of him.
Dag man, I was getting hyped up for this one. I definitely have points on Abraham now because dirrell's mobility just went down the tubes. I hope he is ok though, back injuries are no fun.
 That would require Bute to actually want to fight A-level opponents. At this point, Bute has done nothing to make me believe he isn't another Zsolt Erdei.
maybe he's waiting till they get old and washed up..... like Calzaghe lol

He'd join the tournament if HBO would let him.
