Lets talk about De La Hoya VS. Mayweather

9 rounds to 3 for floyd--maybe 8 to 4----the fight wasn't close at all---people need to score fights better on here---floyd almost got robbed by gbp with that score from kazmerick's dumb ass----floyd outboxed oscar and rocked him also---at 154 for the 1st time and with every advantage for oscar except skill---which counted at the end of the day--floyd was just more skilled and wanted it more that night--end of story--leave it alone--the fight is over--it's been almost 3 years now--- great post.........i had it 9rds to 3 or possible 8 to 3 with one rd even..... i don't know how some people score fights or what kazmerick was watching.

Most of boxing fans believes DLH won that fight. Thats because Delahoya has the largest fan base of any fighter ever....it is only DLH fans or the most staunch Floyd haters who would have the temerity to even make a statemant like the one you just did. Don't bring that weak shit on here!!!!........Floyd actually dominated the fight.....he won 8 rds at a minimum and i had it 9 rds to 3.....even Pac fans on this forum (at least the ones with knowledge of the sport) don't come on here saying shit like that.....they know Oscar lost clearly

OK.. this is an excellent fight to compare the shane fight to.. Floyd will fight this way on may 1.. boring decision.. I thought DLH looked great in this fight.. honestly, he looked almost prime.. I remember floyd winning by like 2 to 3 rounds on my card.. and i was rooting for oscar Almost prime? DLH has been past prime for a few years now and he looked good because he wasn't weight drained and actually trained for the fight, instead of killing himself making weight. Floyd won 2 to 3 rounds? LMAO! Oscar won 4 round max because Floyd gave him 2 rounds. No way in hell DLH won more than 4 rounds in his fight with Floyd. Do you know how to score a fight? Oscar hardly connected and landed any punches on Floyd, after Floyd took away DLH's jab. Throwing punches and making the crowd stand up doesn't mean you won the round.

This was the last Mayweather fight I ever bought. Shit I was pissed when this fight was finished. Boxing shouldn't make you feel sleepy. And I am not over exaggerating either; I was having a hard time staying awake around the 6-7 round. word. one of those fights where it feels like the rounds are moving so slow.

To be honest you have to watch this fight more than once to appreciate it. Because Floyd hyped the hell out of this fight you were expecting a WAR and got pretty depressed when floyd wasn't throwing combos... Man if Floyd still manages to beat his competition without throwing combos that does make him look bad, it makes them look bad, i don't know how he does it, but some how Floyd makes everyone fight how he wants them to fight. His movement is on another level.

DLH got beat soundly by Mayweather at 154 which is a good achievement for Floyd as he was still just relatively inexperienced above 140. DLH won the 2nd Mosley fight to the guy who said he was gifted an SD loss.

The guy had only fought above 140 twice before this fight...cut him some slack. I think he's improved a lot since then. Right...because Oscar was in his prime at that time. Much like how Oscar was in his prime vs Manny...both fought Oscar and only 1 did what should have been done to an out of his prime shell of himself Oscar. that fight was awful.. almost killed boxing. LOL everyone watched it only to be one of the most boring main events in the past decade.

Small, Smaller, Smallest. SSM, PBF, PACQUIAO... hoja broke the mold and was allowed to challenge fighters not quite as big as him.(due to his popularity, and "charm" and revenue he generated) But the bottom line is... He couldn't beat any of them!!! And QUIT without winning a single round against the Smallest. The split decisions with Shane and Floyd were gifts. Oscar did not stop throwing the Jab in the later rounds. Oscar stopped landing the Jab in the later rounds. This has been proven through compubox. I though Oscar looked pretty damn good. I wouldn't say "prime", but pretty good. Regardless, no version of Oscar beats Floyd, and that fight wasn't nearly as close as the scorecards and decision led to believe. A routine UD for Floyd. I will say it is nice to debate something other than Floyd and Pac for a change

Sorry I don't agree he used to throw it more and had more snap on it at this point in his career he was so much more flat footed. He used to move and bounce a lot more, he was coming forward but was stationary for the mose part. Watch the trinidad fight other than the last 3 rounds. That is a good fight that displays his movement,speed, and jab. I beleive a prime Oscar does win a decision over Floyd.

He was also much faster and would finish in the last three rounds. He was clearly toward the end and nowhere near his prime. Like I said in his prime he had one of the best and stiffest jabs and would not get gun shy and stop throwing it. He also moved a lot more and was always his best bouncing on his toes firing his jab, and set up all his timing. I watched him from the Olympics on and he was nowhere near his prime!!!!! Exactly...I don't get why people say DLH was so past his prime. He was only 34! Mayweather's gonna be 34 next year. Yes, he wasn't completely at his best, but he was definitely still a contender. Plus he was at 154, he didn't have to kill himself to make weight.(not trying to discredit Pacquiao or anything)

People seem to forget that he was beating Hopkins before the KO, and he only stopped fighting for a year after that, and then he came back to stop Mayorga in like 5 or 6 rounds. That seems like a contender to me.
