I don't believe it. Jones is an old dog with an experienced team. Surely he'd just refuse to fight rather than getting hit by an opponent with bricks instead of gauze. He and his team should just have refused to fight if it was such a blatant fault he wouldn't be blamed.
will only believe it if it is made official tbh..
If it is true, that's not gonna happen. Based on how Jones described it, the only way this would have happened is if everyone was in on it. There's no way Green would have gotten away with this in Vegas. They would have forced him to rewrap his hands, and he would have been fined. So I highly doubt this will ever be confirmed...
If this is true, then that definitely would have contributed to Green's power. It also means Jones was obviously set up from the beginning because they refused to rewrap Green's hands and threatened to disqualify him if he didn't come out and fight...I hope this is true, because perhaps it'll mean Jones' skills aren't COMPLETELY gone and maybe he has a chance in the Hopkins fight...although I still predict him to get KO'ed in any round.
Roy Jones cannot accept the reality that he's over the hill.
He was just making an excuse for being stopped so easily by Green.
