by may floyd will be out of the ring for about 8 months---no excuses for this fight----shane was training and almost in fighting shape for berto, and floyd wasn't training as hard but he was training slightly for a fight with pac, but we all know how pac pussied out with bobby and his team, not freddie, but pac and his daddy, bobby---so by the time they fight, shane should be in great shape and fighting shape, it's february, and training camp is usually 8 weeks, so there's plenty of time---

I'm not questioning Shane's skill. It's just he's 9 years older then Floyd, and has been out of the ring for a year. Sure he didn't get old against Margarito. A lot of people said that with Bhop too. Its called preserved! Shane is preserved...some one like Gatti was not.(rip) You gotta fight, and train to preserve yourself though! And Shane is not active. Bhop fights constantly, and trains constantly that's why he still look's good today.

Mayweather's not the one that's 39 years old... All boxers age different, some can still look good 35 and up... some are done before 30. Its all subjective.

Deciding to fight a fairly old Mosley(still pretty good though). He's also been out of the ring for a whole year. I kinda got the feeling that Shane's gonna be ring rusty when he comes back. And there is the possibility that he may grow old overnight.When was the last time Floyd fought?

SSM has been training for Berto before he(Berto) ducked out the fight. Also SSM destroyed a real WW in Margarito. Floyd couldnt even pull the trigger and get a fat blown up lightweight out of there... If he couldnt do that and JMM was landing his own on Floyd WTF do think SSM will do. He fought the concrete fisted Margarito a year ago though! And talking about someone who Shane has fought a year is irrelevant to this conversation. And yes Shane has been training for the Berto fight. But when did the Floyd/Marquez fight happen? And the end of summer. It's to bad what happened in Haiti because Shane could have really used a tune up match himself.
