We all know Hopkins is as slick as they come in boxing but who in history would have actually KO'd him
Your top 3:

My top 3:
1. Prime James Toney
2. ?
3. ?
That was my guess Monzon. I do think hagler has a chance but I see Hopkins not getting drawn into a war with him. Hopkins was too smart for that and at 160 he had legs and slipped punches hagler has short arms and would need to get close to Hopkins I don' t think he had the foot speed to get to Hokpins....Lefty
Short arms? Hagler had abnormally long arms for his height. Despite being several inches shorter, his reach is longer than Hopkins's. Alan Minter whom Hagler took the title from said it was very difficult to deal with a fighter who could reach you almost from the other side of the ring.
Hagler also had pretty quick feet in his prime. Not a Ray Leonard by any means but comparable to Hopkins. Look at this sequence:
6:33
Hagler at his best:

James Toney???? i could either see James toney Beating him by UD....but a KO no....Hopkins has a Iron Chin and also is a Master in the Ring..
If the referee would do his job, plenty, but when you're allowed to cheat, hold, headbutt the entire fight, what do you expect. One punch, hold, one punch, headbutt, one punch, hold.
youre an idiot hopkins was a beast in his 20s, I honestly believe he could have fought 15+ rounds back then.
um they fought in there prime there was not a ko.speaking of Roy,Jackson would get koed himself weak chin actually none of the guys you list would ko him.
the fukk are you on about? all of these guys had the power and COULD ko hopkins, read the question idiot
Someone has obviously only watched Hopkins fight when he was a OAP.
Hopkins when he was younger however didn't do that. Try watching some of his earlier fights before assuming that has been his fight style throughout his career.
agree 100% as he got older and less use of his legs he started to grab and hold more. Stamina will do that too you and trying to make 160 with his frame and being close to 40
Carlos Monzon. Believe that.

Hopkins would not get knocked out not in his prime, he's a defense first fighter with great skills.
It's extremely hard to catch him clean and when you do it's never a knockout punch it's usually a tap and if you fail he'll counter you.
I personally don't think any fighter in history could KO Hopkins.
Hopkins defense combined with his footwork made him really hard to hit clean, and when you did hit him clean, not only was his chin good enough to take a good shot but a fighter could never capitalise on it due to Hopkins defense and craftyness getting him out of the way of the next shot.
exactly!! no could ko hopkins or hagler !!!! they both got chins of iron!
Hearns
Hagler might be able to get a stoppage.
McClellan
To be clear, I wouldn't expect these guys to stop Hopkins, but I think they would have a chance.
No reason for Hopkins fans to get offended. The question is who could, not who would, as in who has the best chance to KO Hopkins. I doubt anyone would actually favour any fighter to stop Hopkins at middleweight, he's too durable and smart for that.
Hopkins took a great punch from Antwun Echols here:
6:26
However you never know what could have happen if it was Julian Jackson in there instead of Echols:
1. Benn
2. McClellan
3. Julain Jackson
Numbers 4 and 5 would have to be Hagler and Mugabi, respectively.
Roy Jones would be a distant 6, tho. Roy could KO you if he wanted to, but he spent too much time trying to be slick and counterpunching.
People act like Hopkins has been great his whole career. In the early 90's, a guy called Nigel Benn would have taken that version of early 90's Hopkins to the cleaners.
Ketchel
McClellan
Hagler
I feel hesitant about saying McClellan simply due to the fact that he really unloaded his absolute best, and gave everything he had to Benn in Rd. 1 of their fight. Benn is a guy who'd been down and out a few times in his career too. However, in that same breath, I feel as though his career ended before he really reached his prime. It's a shame, too.
I think perhaps Benn could have done it.
