This was also my first fight as an amateur. I feel I did good up to the 3rd round before I started getting careless and dropping my hands. I was also a little tired and I didn't see some of the shots coming and as a result I got 2 8-cunts and almost lost the fight.
Take a look at the video and let me know what you guys think (I'm the one in the Gold). Thanks
You fightin in the Gloves this year? You still Novice?
I was gonna go in this year but I don't get enough work/sparring...
If your going 141 I wish you luck, thatz a tough weightclass(well open at least). I know a lotta good fighters at 141 and 152...not too aware of the Novice class tho.
I'm still novice. Nah I haven't been training i'm not ready for this year. I'm looking to go for next year.
Yea 141 and 152 are the most competitive weighclasses. last golden gloves they had 2 shows booked back to back just for the 141 novice weightclass, that's how many competitors there were.

btw how tall are people usually in the 141 range?and how tall was your opponent? im looking to fight at 152 but im only 5'9. might go down to 141 so i can be tall.
I'm 5"10.
It depends on your body structure and the weight you are comfortable at. i have never been heavier than 150 and my trainer advised me that the 141 weightclass is more suitable for me because at 152 you got guys coming down from 170lb.

good fight. dont get in close with the smaller dudes, youre tall so learn how to fight talll. if a short guy is inside on you, you are doing something wrong.. other than that nice job.
I like your style, your fighting stance is like Mikkel Kessler's but you look a bit faster.Thanks man. I try to fight with sharpness and speed but i still don't know how to pace myself so I don't wear out early.
Amateur scoring sucks balls,that's why some guys who had poorer amateur records or lost to certain guys as amateurs come back and have better careers,and beat those same guys at the professional level.
I could point out things to you that you could definitely work on but i'm reallyjust a net stranger to you,and i really believe that what trainers,other fighters and most importantly in the end,yourself should watch that fight and know your flaws and wut u need to work on.
Keep the passion bro and good luck!
thanks and believe me I know i need to work on a lot of things since the first time I seen this vid.

looking pretty good for your first fight men.. i been fighting for quite a while now and ready to turn pro.
Overall you deserved to win but dont be so careless when you get tired, if its necessary do some holding, amateur rounds are short. You did pretty good when the guy was coming at you until you got tired and your legs lost strenght, try to make them stronger for the next one, that with some side stepping and i am sure you will do awsome
Yes I did feel like I lost my legs since by the end of the 2nd round. Thats also another thing im going to try and improve on.
Yo much respect to you for going pro bro. A lot of people don't understand that this is one of the hardest lifestyles to choose and it takes a real man to go through with this kind of career. Getting in the ring and fighting for your life is not even the hardest part. It's training 6 days a week like an animal that's extremely hard and having to deal with the psychological difficulties of the sport.
Good luck and train hard man.

When ur fighting shorter guys,inside is where u don't wanna be!!If u jabbed him & boxed more,U would have easily beaten that guy!!Use ur size advantages to punish smaller opponents from a distance next time!!
i know the feeling get a 8 count and feel like you losing i been there before.but sometime it don't even work like that i seen someone knock down two times (now he really needed that 8 count) and still won the fight.
Yea man Amateur boxing has some weird ways of scoring. I'm not sure but I heard that a knockdown counts the same as a punch
Even though it might have looked like I needed that 8 count, It really didn't feel like it. I did infact get shaken up but I've taken worse punches than that in the gym and I've continued fighting after moving away for a couple of seconds.
That 8 count discoureged me a lot and it made me want to go and knock the guy out because I thought I was losing.
i dont like dat damn rule if you get hit flush its like automatic 8 count and your be fine not dazed or buzz it was just a good shot.

Falemdinerit shum vlla. I'll keep training for sure.
that 8 count rule is some bullshit you was alright then he wait wait 2 or 3 seconds to give you the count.

141 Shqipe.
I know man I could have just boxed him and won easily but there were a few family and friends watching and I wanted to give them a knockout. When I got caught the way I did in the 3rd round I felt horrible mainly because there were a lot of my friends watching and getting caught like that infront of a big crowd was somethign I always feared.

How tall are you BTW?
how much do you weigh? you should have stayd far away; you could have jabbed him all night long;
move your head; keep your hands up; jab more; & run more so you don't get tired next time;
good stile though; great hand speed!
