Mosley "getting close" to reaching the point, to begin looking for other opponents

Conspicuously missing, however, is Mayweather's. Though both sides have agreed to the terms of the fight -- which will include random blood testing done by the USADA -- Mayweather has still not signed the deal. And Schaefer doesn't understand why. "I have no idea what's going on," Schaefer told SI.com. "Every time I talk to they tell me it's coming the next day. Every day it's the next day." Schaefer had initially planned to bring both fighters to the Super Bowl in Miami to begin promoting the fight. That plan, however, has been scrapped. "The Super Bowl was going to kick off the promotion," said Schaefer. "It would have been a great platform for promoting a fight this big. But I'm not going down there until I have a signed contract from Mayweather." While Schaefer said he is willing to wait longer for Mayweather, he said Mosley was "getting close" to reaching the point where he will start looking for other opponents. "Shane just wants to be in great fights," said Schaefer. Who can Mosley fight other than Floyd at this point? Who is Schaefer kidding?

Floyd should start negotiations with Rafael Marquez. I mean he just beat his brother. The can fight at a catch weight of lets say, 146. Now that would be something. The promotion could be Revenge. Marquez trying to avenge his brother defeat. Hey somebody call Ellerbe and Haymon. They could get this done right away. No blood test needed.

I think it would be the best move for Mosley to seriously start looking for a new opponent. Mosley has options even though it will be for less money but he has options. PBF also has options but none that will bring him money or respect which I don't think he truly cares about. By Mosley aggresively looking for a new opponent it will either force PBF to stop playing games or come out and say he is not fighting Mosley. Whoever is advising PBF on this strategy is not worth the paycheck they are getting. PBF is going to start looking like "the boy who cried wolf" and when he might really try and fight the fight people want nobody will care because they will view him as playing around to much and not care what he does any more. Every promotional angle has it limits before it becomes stale and renders that product not important anymore PBF is getting real close to crossing that line.

This would definitely be Mayweather's out, if he is looking for one, just wait long enough and Mosley will have to take another fight. Let's wait until we hear something, we can't lose this fight too.

At this point nothing suprises me about Goldenboy and Team Mayweather. They can't make the big fights and I wonder why. Is it Floyd and his dad or is it Oscar and Schaefer? When delahoya was on top he fought everybody except forrest and winky. Floyd should do the same or retire. First pacquiao now mosley. We might as well add cotto, williams,magarito,clottey,or whoever else is considered a good fighter to the list . He won't fight them. Say hello to the new Roy jones folks. Until Floyd ends up broke or gets beat by someone, he will never step up. Roy all over again.
