ok since 2005...dude's only knocked 1 guy.
but...
-clottey is preety good, i thought he won agaist cotto. (cotto wins by spilt ithink)
-he handles well agaist speed, dudes had a easy agaist zab judah. beat judah bad. judah is crazy when it comes to hand speed
-exellect inside fighter (baldamir fight) - he was beating baldamir till he got disqualified for a head clash..
-has power - knocked down twice corrales in the 8th or 9th i think
-clottey is a counter puncher! pac-u struggles agaist than type...example - JMM
-IF he choice to go offensive agaist this fight...i have a feeling he can win..
on the otherhand...pac-u can make this fight one-sided if josh doesnt go offensive...
IMO.
Clottey's too predictable offensively and he's too slow in his transition from defense to offense. He thinks Pac is gonna go in without a game plan like Cotto and do a my turn-your turn type fight.
A fight can be so different if a fighter goes in with a great game plan (which I' banking on Roach already having). Pacquiao's gonna pepper Clottey with jabs and soft shots, until Joshua opens up to counter and Manny will step out of range and smash him with his own counters.
Either that or just overwhelm him with straight activity.
Best way Clottey can win.
A signature Clottey headbutt.
Pac hates getting cut and his performance suffers exponentially.
Actually, any fighter who gets a serious cut suffers in performance. I mean, how could you focus when its like liquid salt is pouring into your eye?
Clottey will be the toughest inside fight. Clottey pressuring wont be the same as any fighter pressuring. He keep his gloves in front of his face and dont get hit with easy shots often. So all that getting cut and bleeding like Cotto isn't going to happen. Not to mention his face and head is like its been built of bricks
Pac is just going to have to move and pot shot all night. Punch and move. Cause trading wont work
he beat judah by 1/2 a round but i feel clotteys gonna beat pac. i could be wrong though.
maybe your right...if you want you can back up your feelings by betting 2:1 odds....your 100k to my 200k....just confirm so we can sig it....:boxing:
Clottey is a good fighter but he would need to fight the best fight of his career by a pretty wide margin to win (that or Manny would have to fight at a much lower level).
It is possible but it is pretty unlikely.
Clottey has next to zero chance of winning the fight, He would never get a UD against Pacquiao anywhere in the USA, And Clottey fighting style suit Pac to the tee, The stand in front of me style is what made Pacquiao today, Clottey doesnt throw enough and he has terrible stamina against the Elite boxers of these world.
If he can some how learn to move around a bit in the next 7 weeks and he can improve his stamina and output in the next 7 weeks then i would give him more of a chance of the upset but even with all the listed above he still need to get an unmotivated Pacquiao to cause an upset, It just isnt happening...Easy fight for Pac.
"he cannot tek muh headbutts" :lol1:
His nickname should be The Billygoat.
Seriously, when talking about Clottey's arsenal, his head should be number 1.
It's his most effective weapon.
only way clottey can win is of he KOs pac.
Pacs workrate is too much for him. pac by ko or UD
That's what i like about Manny. He chooses dangerous fights where there is a significant chance that he'd lose.
Its only after the demolishes his opponents that haters downplay his victories.
Only way is if Pac choices to make it war and purposely lay on the Ropes like in the Cotto fight, but if he decides to jump in and out and from side to side, he will tag him up all night.
