On the BT interview he sounded like he is willing to fight those guys right now and he said he would even go to St. Louis to fight Spinks. Does he need a few more fights and how do you think he would do against them?
Hell no.
Spinks Decisions him and Angulo would KO him right now. Lara is my boy but I wasn't impressed with him Friday.
Did you see what I saw about how when he throws his jab he takes his left hand away from his face exposing it to huge shots. I love the dude hes in my avy but I honestly think if he fights a big puncher with a good right hes going to go down. I did a Live round by round on my show and I said that shit then BOOM it happened Grady rocked his ass and had Lara on queer street and then he was saved by the bell. Now obviously he can work on that this year.
I like his hand speed and accuracy too. But when Brewer got close Lara just covered up and let Grady punch him. He doesnt know how to fight on the inside I think those 2 things will have to be stuff he improves on if he wants to make noise in a division with Dzindiruk, Williams, Martinez, Cintron, Kirkland, Angulo, Julio, Spinks and Omar Henry IMO.
Co-signs and good point now Angulo vs Omar Henry would be a war but imo they both would stop Lara!
Spinks might be doable I have to see him fight Bundrage, if Spinks has any problems in that fight I would think Lara could get him. I still think they should pull back a little bit and let him gain some experiance against guys like Brewer maybe slowly step it up from here but Brewer is pretty decent.
He has good abilities but no need to rush him because that could easily stunt is growth.
Im going to check those guys out. BNow that I think about it isnt Korobov a Junior Middle?? If so add him to the list. That division might be the best iin boxing when these guys get going.
I think Korobov is on the middleweight/super middleweight border, but you can add him.
I think Golovkin has a thread in the video section, and N'jikam has some videos on youtube.
While I think he's a little bit away from the level of Williams, Cintron, etc., there's some decent prospects fighting in Germany as Well. Guys like N'jikam, Golovkin, etc.

He cant fight on the inside and against Angulo he would have to.
My thing is that Lara is in one of the toughest divisions in boxing.
Williams
Martinez
Cotto
Foreman
Dzindiruk
Henry
Cintron
Krkland
Angulo
Julio
Spinks
Bunderage
Chaver Jr. (lol)
Vanes
Clottey
Quintana
I mean seriously Lara is in the right place at the wrong time.

I like Lara, but I think he should fight a few more fringe contenders, gatekeepers, etc. He's not a really advanced age like Rigondeaux and Gamboa, so I think they should take him time.
That's what I meant, he should fight a few JCC Jr. opponents while he builds his reputation, confidence and experience as a pro.
Maybe Spinks because Spinks has slowed down a bit, but even though he might beat Angulo(questionable), Angulo is a dangerous fighter and a little more experiance would be a good idea.

Yeah I agree with that.
Who does he fight like to you? I think he looks like a cross between Dawson and Judah.
Well, from the fights I've seen, he seems to stalk more, so he doesn't really remind me of them. They also throw a wider variety of punches on the regular.
But the way he keeps the high guard, is a southpaw, etc., he kind of reminds me of Winky. He doesn't fight is the high guard as much, but looks quicker and more athletic.
Just my take.
Spinks had a hard fight with a really raw Latimore and appears that age has effected his legs. Also, reports are that Spinks has ballooned up to 200 pounds in between this fight and his last. So I don't necessarily know that he'd do it with ease.
Really? That sucks man, I didn't know that.

If that's your opinion, fine.

Nah, I mean he's probably a future star, but Spinks would outbox him with ease. Angulo could be a better option but I don't think he's ready for him. I think they're rushing him too much, I mean, he should be busier but against lesser opponents until he gets there.

I think the bell saved him but he dominated Brewer. There are just things that I seen that better fighters would exploit.

I think that's a bit of a stretch. He was hurt and a little wobbly going back to his corner, but I don't he wasn't really close to going down and wasn't out on his feet. He threw a punch as the bell rang too.

He almost got KO;d in the 4th round. He was saved by the bell.
